...aero skirts def a big difference on silver and light colours but wouldnt go for it personally on my black car unless very cheap used came up as not big enough impact for outlay for me!

I agree aero skirts show up better on silver and other lighter colored cars. dubseed's car is a great example. But I still want to put them on my black sapphire coupe. It would be nice to see some pics of dark colored cars with the skirts installed.

These are old photos of my car but hopefully will help to convince that the aero skirts do have a big impact on a black car.

Are those 18" CSLs BTW? They look nice. 8)

That's it. I'm not reading this thread again. It's caused a bunch of heated arguments in my head already, and the Pics in the post above just resulted in a mental 'told you so' to which there is no response that doesn't involve a very foolish act.

Really mine were uninterested to say the least in the aero kit fitted to mine.
They charged only a small charge, but they insisted it was documented on the policy.

Just buy them Bing! I smile every time I have to step that little bit further to get over mine when getting into the car

No, genuine 19" CSL's which have since been powdercoated in graphite. They do look good in the original finish but are now much more aggressive looking.

I see. Any pics?

I'll try and oblige the next time I wash it, the wheels and entire car are a dull grey colour at this moment in time.

Is there actually any difference?

Of course not - many z4 owners just like to replace like for like parts and pay a premium for doing it

No-one has really noticed them on my car still
But i like them... do protrude noticeable... my trousers would rub against them getting out and get dirty!

The normal skirts are totally smooth and 'vertical', whereas the aero skirts angle out for some of their width and then down. The rear arch crease links with the horizontal crease on the skirt instead of dropping all the way down. Much more sculpted look. Hard to describe, so compare mine with above (best photo of it I could find) :

No way Bing, I see what Gilberto means now. There is actually no difference between normal and aero! My standard ones, which are exactly like the aero skirts, can be had for only £300.
