Are you reusing the fittings?

Not sure. There are a couple of packs of small fittings with the skirts, so if you are referring to these then yes. Thats assuming they don't look like a PIA and the ones on there are ok?

Ok so working on a 8pm lose light deadline, I need to start these by 6pm.

I'm working on my laptop at home, do you know how difficult it is to not down tools and go out and fit the skirts which are sat in the next room on the car sat outside my window!!!??

thats it, can't resist anymore. I'm downing laptop and getting out there. Only thing is the car is filthy and the side skirts are gleaming. So to clean first??? mmmm

You really do want to get the old fittings out of the sill. The new ones are not certain to be exactly the same size and may not clip together and grip well. Other problem is to ensure you don't leave a fixing in and try to put a new one on top of it. It'll make sense once the old sill is off and you can see.

When you fit the gasket its got a cutout for the sharp curve of the profile so get it the right way around...

Now the scary bit - you might need a block of wook covered in a soft cloth to place on the sill then tap it with a hammer to get the sill locked in. Get all these clips locked in before the under car fixings

Have a long length of carpet by the car so you can do test fits make sure all the clips are in place where they will lock in, etc. and in between put them on the floor without risk of scratches.

Fitted 6 now so getting used to them :D

Having just removed the side skirts from my E46 M3, I would defintiely be waxoyl-ing the sills if you plan on keeping the car!!
