Have a long length of carpet by the car so you can do test fits make sure all the clips are in place where they will lock in, etc. and in between put them on the floor without risk of scratches.

Fitted 6 now so getting used to them :D

bloody hell they are only plastic clips surely tapping with a hammer is overkill??? ohhh i cant wait to get these on...... mark???? HOW WAS IT?? easy???? fun??? talk to me!!!! lol

You'll find the new gasket needs compressing and the sill will need flexing to match the exact profile of the car and the clips are really strong grip, so need a lot of force to get them to engage and lock in. We did Ranski's a few months back and took a fair bit of force to get them to properly engage.
 
I thought this was a very straight forward job done in 5 minutes! the guide in the how-to section doesn't mention any of these, have I not read it properly? it won't be the 1st time :oops:

Probably beating the cr*p out of them with a lump hammer or wondering why the new clips wont fit the old ones
 
Oi you lot!!! :rofl: Its funny, I've only been on here a couple of months yet you all seem to know me really well :P

Ok all done!!!! That was really easy (even for a complete mechanical numpty like me! ;) ) It only took an hour to do both sides, and that include getting the tools out and packing away. The most tricky part is removed the old fixings without scratching the paint (not that it matters much there but still) I've took loads of pictures, before and after, just need to get them off my phone and work out which ones show the difference best. I'll prbably start a new thread as hopefully it will help any new owners decide if its something they want to do.

So looks like I didnt suffer the "curse of the skirts" :thumbsup:
 
Not really a guide but help you learn from my mistakes :)

* don't forget to remove the fixing that is inside the front wheel arch
* don't forget to fit the rubber trim before fitting the skirts on :headbang:

Just collected the skirts really nice job , off to a mates house to fit them lets just hope the colour match is good
