Wrapping one

Seriously :dizzy: if you have even one squinty eye on future resale (as you mention above) that's about the worst possible thing you could do .

^^ this ^^
People in general seem very wary of buying wrapped cars for fear of what damage it may be hiding to the original paint underneath

So remove the wrap before you sell it?

Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting the OP buys as an investment. Regardless of the uniqueness of the colour or mileage, these cars won't climb in value - at best they may hold their price for a while if your lucky.
I bought mine with the heart not the head - I have piled on the miles and enjoyed every one.
If I wanted to sell it I'd get no where near what I paid.
I bought it to enjoy it :driving:

isnt that what we should doing, cars vs hearts. Sensible option would be to buy a FSH car on here for £1000 more.

We're all welcome to our opinions, I'd rather an otherwise perfect car with the right specification and compromise on the colour; which can be easily changed. And that's my opinion - no reason to be derogatory with yours.

(and I'm someone who held out for an Imola ///M! just offering a different perspective)

& what would that FSH guarantee you ?
The car you are considering has 56k on it with 2 documented services so worse case scenario its possibly done 18kish between changes . on longlife oil ? It aint gonna suddenly explode
It may even have had one or 2 done that aren't stamped ?
Ok its fallen out of the time schedule required by Bmw (mainly for warranty purposes) but lets get to the basics here , it aint a highly strung tweaked to the max high performance engine , its a straight 6 na bmw N52 built to perform at a decent output for a longtime , it isn't the S54 M engine that requires a lot of maintenance & attention just to avoid major problems
Id be amazed if there is any longterm issues that have or could arise from its infrequent service record , there just isnt anything major to go wrong that the services would have prevented especially in 56k miles
Buy the car unserviced & get it properly up to date with oil+filter , brake fluid , coolant , plugs , cabin filter , air filter & change the gearbox oil , you would already have covered virtually all that at a decent indy instead of wasting £300 asking the RAC to look it over & tell you the brake lines look corroded , the pads look worn , its due a service , both rear spring has been replaced at some point , headlight misted over blahblahblah
You can hear the car ticking over , it clearly has no hva issue which can affect some N52s , i really can't see what folks are getting sand in their fanny over with this car

Easily changed? A wrap looks crap and a full proper respray would be half the cost of the car

I agree with Marlon, but it to enjoy it. If you pay over the odds so what, if you pay under so what! If you get the car you love looking at and it puts a grin on your face then be happy and just enjoy it. All cars are only worth what someone is willing to pay - on Z4 world a lot, outside of Z4 world it's just a car!
FWIW, I drove my first coupe last week having been a staunch roadster man - I have to admit that I now "get it" so enjoy!!

I have been reading this thread with interest, if it was me, I would go and have a test drive, I know its some expense to do this, but I am guessing you heart is saying you want it, take it for a test drive, but let your head take over, check everything out that everyone has mentioned, because I think, if you don't you will always think,, if only,
The condensation in the headlight, dead easy fix, dry it out, new £15 rear cover with gasket, the door gap looks well within tolerance to me, and could honestly just be the camera angle, I agree buy the car unserviced and take it to a specialist to get it done, obviously a good haggle for this on the price, most of us have OCD on this forum and could pick holes in one straight out of the showroom :D

We all bought the cars with the heart but you do need to apply the head at some point :) we are discussing 10-12 yr old used cars with multiple owners & even a forum car with FSH will most likely have its service sequence out of line or late , there is simply no guarantee with a used motor , even a AUC one

....Sand in your fanny is perhaps the equivalent of having a birds eye chilli shoved up your japs eye?? If we are trying to find something we can relate to!!
