If it looks like an auto gear knob then it is a DCT.
As far as I am aware in the UK this car only came in two flavours, a manual or a DCT twin clutch which is also technically a manual although referred to as an auto hence some spec list or V5 doc might list it as a manual.
Oh and the M Sport was available throughout the car's life, not sure why the owner's telling you it wasn't available in 2010.
