Good afternoon,

I've just been to look at a Z4 SDrive 35i (2010). The person selling said that they did not make an 'M'Sport option this year, is this correct?

Also, this is not DCT from what I can tell, does this make much difference.

As you can tell, I know nothing!

If the transmission is the single clutch model not the DCT then it is much less desirable.

Do you mean it's a manual, not an auto? (I know technically the DCT is not a true auto, but you know what I mean.)
I thought manual or DCT were the only two options on that?

Is the gearknob an auto looking thing, or does it have 6 gears plus reverse (manual)

It’s not really a true auto, it’s technically an automated manual. It sounds like it doesn’t translate well in the description but most would call it an auto.

If it looks like an auto gear knob then it is a DCT.

As far as I am aware in the UK this car only came in two flavours, a manual or a DCT twin clutch which is also technically a manual although referred to as an auto hence some spec list or V5 doc might list it as a manual.

Oh and the M Sport was available throughout the car's life, not sure why the owner's telling you it wasn't available in 2010.

Kind of what I was driving at, but put better.
It's a manual that can automatically change the gears :)

Well that's right then. The DCT is controlled by a lever that looks like an auto. It happily sorts out all the gears on it's own, but it does so by controlling the 'manual' type box through two clutches. If you want, you can override it and drive it like a manual, using the paddles.
