Advice on s35i DCT thinking of buying

I find the clutch engagement from rest a bit slow. So I always switch to sport as its quicker to take off when joining roundabouts junctions etc.

I came from Z4MC and I was very concerned about DCT so concerned that before I bought one I made the dealer lend me a car with it for a day so I could really get a feel for it. 18 months later I love it it becomes second nature very easily.
I know I will get shot for this but the thing about MPG puzzles me in that you buy a 3ltr 'sports' car you would expect that its going to use a lot of petrol so if that worries you I wouldnt buy it

Agree with you Chas, you can't have your cake and eat it.

I've just done 1800 miles over 4 days, all kinds of driving. Motorways, towns, autobahns (140 mph plus) and averaged 26.4 mpg....not bad I think

Yours is so polished it probably goes through the air smoother than expected! :D

I've had mine since, 2009 and have 37000kms on it, I get 34.5 mpg on the highway at 115kmh. It's a wonderful thing to put the shifter into sports mode then press the sport button up to sport and just drive around town. I use the paddles when I want to drive hard but the sports mode of the shift lever is pretty darned good. ALSO .... remapping a 35i is amazing, the extra 80hp and all the extra torque really put it in a class of its own. I rarely use sports + as the chances of spinning it into a curb are increased dramatically with close to 400hp

Watch for loose battery cables after services, they can cause huge issues (personal experience :x )
