Adebolajo & Adebowale

I was thinking the same thing Carol but then decided that banging them up for life and humiliating them every day would be more of a punishment.

Well, I kind of agree but I object to us paying to feed, clothe & accommodate them so my conclusion is kill them slowly and painfully.

Carol you talk about the cost and to some extent I agree, but tell you what I don’t get is the trial, both defendants have pleaded not guilty so there has to be a trial which will cost hundreds of thousands.

How the f***ing hell can they plead not guilty to a crime when CCTV footage that has been shown around the world clearly shows them committing the crime and video footage taken by a member of the public clearly shows and records them giving an explanation as to why they killed this totally innocent Fusilier. And god knows how many people actually saw them do it.

There should be no trial it is clearly not needed they should not get the option to plead not guilty.

I understand the fundamental principles of our laws ‘innocent until proven guilty’ but I really don’t get it in this instance, the evidence is irrefutable, beyond any doubt what-so-ever.

I don’t get why Lee Rigby’s poor family are being put through all the heart ache of a full trial, haven’t they already suffered enough.

Well made point. I fully agree. Put that bloke accused of those heinous crimes against children in the same place in hell

Don't know if one of the resident lawyers is on, but I thought if they believed their client was guilty they couldn't defend them? How do they possibly, and in all conscience, defend them given all the very public footage and what looked like a confession from one of them recorded on that witnesses camera-phone.

I’m all for a fair and transparent legal system but pleading not guilty to a crime where there is substantial irrefutable evidence should not be allowed.

These scum are guilty, they admitted their guilt on camera at the scene of the crime when they were under no pressure or duress, the whole world has seen this footage, they are by their own admission guilty end of story.

The only way that these two scum could I suppose be found not guilty is in the extremely unlikely event that we have 12 blind and deaf people sat on the jury, it really is a situation that is as ridiculous as that.

Shame the Police Officer who shot them both didn’t get the bullet in the right place in the middle of their foreheads.

From the news reports: Adebolajo and Adebowale both deny murdering Fusilier Rigby, attempting to murder a police officer and conspiracy to murder a police officer on or before May 22.

It'll be the usual nonsense - deny murder through claiming diminished responsibility or mitigating circumstances.

Not even that I doubt there'll even be an attempt at not guilty by diminished responsibility or mitigation, its all just a publicity show for the two of them and no doubt they'll be using defences such as "it was a legitimate death in the war against the west" etc.

All very expensive, brash and hard on the friends and family of the poor lad, in this instance a door in the prison left open and a few nutters given a wink and nudge could have saved the hassle.

Agree with Converted Steve and Stark above.

Well yes ... I have to agree with the no mercy string em up attitude but ......

We have a good legal system, so let it take its course ..... And dont forget part of our legal system is to let proper cons, dish out the final justice ..... Which Im pretty sure they will do

Remember Brevik in Norway ... His whole plan was to be a public figure and get airtime .... Reality is the entire country turned their backs on him and ignored him, now he's been silenced and doing time,

They know exactly what to do to get max publicity.

Also over the next 25 years or so this will cost £millions in appeals etc.
Their lawyers must be rubbing their hands

Closed court, no reporting, and bring back the death penalty.

What I really can’t get my head around is how any Defence Lawyer with any decency, respect and normal moral values could possible even attempt to defend these scum, how can he sleep at night will this on his conscience.

I get it that in some murder trials there could be mitigating circumstances or the evidence isn’t clear or there could be reasonable doubt so the defendant is entitled to a Defence Lawyer to look after his/her interests in a complex legal system.

But non of this applies, we have all including the Defence Lawyer, the Judge and probably the Jury seen irrefutable video evidence with the words coming out of the defendants own mouth telling us why he did it. It’s clear cut; there is no doubt at all.

there will be a lawyer somewhere who is so self absorbed they will willingly defend them. you only have to look at some human rights cases to see that.

Agree with all the above, and f**k "I wanna be known as" ....you are known as what your birth cert and British passports say you fucking scumbags, there is no hole dark enough for these cowardly wankers. Hopefully they will hang themselves inside and save the tax payers some £.
