During the winter here in Norway, the roads are sprayed with a salt solution to avoid icy conditions. Road salt treatment is the case for several countries in northern Europe. The salt works fine on the ice, but is a threat to cars with regards to corrosion. Because of this, some car manufacturers advise their customers to add extra corrosion protection after some time :!: . I asked my local stealer if the Z4 needed some extra protection, but he answered that BMW’s have a good corrosion program for their cars, so this was no problem.
But I don’t know… maybe I should have given my Z4 some additional protection with Tectyl, Tuff Cote Dinol or similar :scratchhead:
Any thoughts or experience out there?
