I sometimes jokkingly call TC the numpty button. On public roads I always leave it enabled. People get so used to TC that when it is turned off to "have a bit of fun", they do not know where the limit is and then fall for it.

Sometimes I think we`re better off without TC. People will learn where the limit of the grip is etc and also drive more carefully because they know the car will easily bite back. With TC, people get used to it, have no real idea where the limit is and then turn it off and end up crashing.
On a trackday or airfield etc, yeah turn it off for safe fun.

Back in 2007, my VX220 got hit in a carpark. While it was away for repair, the 'like for like' hire car I got was a 2006 Toyota Engined Lotus Elise! I loved it.....for about the 8 days that it was running (although the driver door did keep swinging open on my way to work)
The below pics are in my office carpark when it refused to start. It ended up being towed away the next day

The AA man couldnt get it going, so the next day a flatbed lorry came to take it awayin the end. As if it wasn't embarrasing enough at the end of the previous day having people taking photos of "that w***er that cant get his Lotus started", the next day when the flatbed lorry came; it couldnt get onto my works carpark!!, so i had to PUSH it across the carpark and out the gates onto the truck! Virtually every window of the adjacent office building had people in watching and taking photos.

The car had less than 10k miles on it. :x

Joking apart, personally not a fan of TVR`s so I won`t lie and say how lovely it looks
Had a good in a Giffith 500 once, fast and hell in a straight line but not to my liking (handling IMO was poor)

i do most of my town mileage with my dsc off just for that reason, i feel it's not clever getting used to 350bhp with dsc on, because if it's going to bite at every junction i want to feel this and adjust accordingly.
only thing that scares me is high speed greasy slip roads, such as the M3->M25 onramp going west->north - excellent rising tight sweeping bend but sometimes slippery on the tightest part - often approached a good speed up there only to see the dsc flicking as it brakes traction.. at 60+ mph 8) it would be hard to get back on a road that's not the widest.

Someone called me today regarding my personal injury claim to ask all the questions and then said they would pop something in the post for me to fill in. So that's on it's way with being sorted now too

Be VERY critical and sure to go over that car with a fine tooth comb when its ready.
Panel gaps, door openings, paint match etc. Also enquire how the work affects your anti corrossion waranty, they may only cover the repair for 12 months rather than 6 for the original car which would be shady.

Sorry to hear about the smash. But you did well to take photos of the car as it was loading. Hope you ae feeling ok now and that the insurance has sorted it all out for you. I am just trying to decide who i should insure my Z4 with!!! :? Hopefully you will back driving your Z4 shortly.
