The insurance company of the guy who hit you will no doubt pay for the repairs, but they don't pay for the money you may loose come re-sale time with it being logged as a repaired vehicle and money you may loose on insurance, even if it's protected, come renewal time!! All not fair considering it's not your fault!![]()

Well if you're happy thats good, and I can understand your reasons too.Lucy said:I am just so happy that it can be repaired. I've had a look at other Z4's and Z4 M's that are for sale and there are some nice one's but none with such a unique interior like mine, the interior was the decider on what made me get this one. My criteria was a 3.0si Coupe prefably with the individual bi colour leather and dash, and when i saw this one i just had to have it. There are no others for sale like it so i am glad i won't have to get a new one that i'm not 100% happy with.
And after speaking to Pete at Sytners on the phone he's put my mind at ease that it's mainly cosmetic damage so it's not bent or anything. He's cheered me up a lot i'll give him that![]()

I'm only 21 with a licence held 2.5 years though so maybe that's something to do with it? I had a letter through the post a couple of weeks ago saying that my renewal was due on the 31st at a cost of £1200 (£100 less than last year) but when i was on the phone to Diamond after the accident i was talking to the renewals department declaring my points etc. as i've only just got my licence back and they said it would go up to £1500
LOL how do they work that one out?pvr said:...they said, even if you are not at fault, you are more likely to have another accident !!!

pvr said:Problem is as well that the premium will be loaded even if you are at non fault. A Porsche drove if the back of my wife's car a few years back and the insurance did the following:
- Lost 20% no claim as the claim had not been paid by the other insurance company yet, had to wait for about 4 months for that refund
- They loaded the premium by 20% as well as they said, even if you are not at fault, you are more likely to have another accident !!!
Madness, but that is insurance companies for you ...
duckson said:Likewise some insurance companies wouldnt touch me or gave me inflated figures cus i didnt have any RWD driving experience but i'm 33, been driving 15yrs, full NCB, no claims/point/convictions etc! Crazy.

So it's stripped down and in bits in the workshop at the minute waiting for the parts which will take 2-3 days to come, and he's estimated 10-12 days to get it looking sexy again.![]()
