A scary (but fortunate) end to Z4 Ownership

And one of these:

Glad you’re ok! Shame about the car but it’s only metal and plastic at the end of the day. Sure puts somethings into perspective - the mother in law had a bit of a smash last week and now she’s the friendliest I have ever known her! :)

Glad you are ok dk345.

Terrible bit of parking that. I am not sure if t-cut will get those marks our, may need a machine polisher... :D Very easy to do in this weather too. I remember a couple of years ago coming off the main road onto our estate at about 25mph, the road was like sheet ice and the car went all over the place. Any faster as I would have been toast...!!

That' going to need a good wash. Good to read you made it though that one in one piece.

I recall someone tried something similar, in a 2.0 E85, on the 2011 National meeting, in the Lakes. Happily they also walked away. Didn't turn over though.

I thought you were going to add that it didn’t have enough power to turn itself turtle Buzy :)

He was driving like it had 300 brake..... and no brakes....

Wow, horrifying experience and glad you are ok. Impressed that the car held together and reassuring that the roof proved to be so strong!

Haha. Actually came back to my parents house after work today to find that a friend had stopped by to leave me a bottle of t-cut... guess it’s good I haven’t lost my sense of humor!

So what are you replacing it with?

So would you buy another Zed?

I’d have another one in a heartbeat. It’s a shame too, as it had just ticked over 34k and was really starting to get more vocal and rev higher when wam,.

My plan for this year was to sell up when the weather got bettter anyway. Looking to buy a house and the money is better off in my savings account than tied up in a car.

Still, couldn’t help but scour auto trader for another 35iS and some f-types earlier today... who knows!

Glad to hear you are OK OP.

Shame about your car though.

Good luck with the hunt for a replacement!

Scary - something that could happen to anybody, I'm sure. Glad you're ok and glad that there was nobody in your way when you were freestyling.

Think I might buy one of those hammers/belt cutters too. Don't like the idea of one day being trapped upside down in a burning car with my head in a cow pat.

It was unfortunately Siftah,in his 3.0 zed, in 2011,ended up in a field, but thankfully didn't overturn it,and him and his passenger were okay.

Glad you are okay, and the car saved you,a lucky escape indeed

Sorry to see the car like that, they do engineer these B pillar things quite well thankfully, I've also had that experience before.. twice
But, you say you crashed coming off a road packed with snow and you land in the adjacent field, which doesn't have a drop of snow on it by the looks of your picture? :?
