As the forum hasn't had a political thread for a while and the fact that Boris' "Partygate" isn't going away, do you think he should stay or be ousted?

Please vote in the poll.

I, for one, think he should go. I have always voted Conservative and thought Boris was a good idea in 2019. Then Covid happened. I remember on March 21st 2020 he went on National TV saying how terrible everything was going to be and I quote "many people will die before their time".
I took that seriously for nearly 2 years, meanwhile he, and his Whitehall cronies, were laughing at me.

+1, laughing and laughing long and hard :wkr: :wkr: :wkr:

The bloke is a conceited, arrogant, self serving bast**d who in my opinion should never have been made Prime Minister. Yes I admit that I have voted Tory in the past but I wouldn’t for him.

This ^^^^^^

He has lied and deceived his entire life, nothing new here, but people wanted to believe the things he said and are then surprised or angered once realisation hits.

How long before people realise that we have the same problems post Brexit as pre, but now we only have ourselves to blame :poke:

and don't get me started on Priti Patel, transporting immigrants to Rwanda :headbang:

Yes this is a government with no principles at all, I'm not saying all of them but the ones 'in charge' certainly seem to be. However at least we live in a country that we can say these things without being locked up.

I was not surprised by the outcome of the vote last night. Much as I detest the man and the damage he's done to the union, the economy, public standards and democracy I think the result was just about the best possible outcome for Labour. Too few votes to oust him but far too many to draw a line under the last 3 years. It'll be interesting to see if he survives to the next general election but either way I think the Conservatives are done for now. Well done to the 148 who voted against but sadly there are just too many who are unprincipled and tainted by him.

Dare I say, too many Freemasons in Government. Apologies to any Freemasons on this forum as I know that most are not devious and money grabbing social climbers.

My next door neighbour is a freemason............and he's a right c*nt! As my old late dad used to say "full of his own piss and importance" :)

Problem is... Who ever replaces him will be worse.

Jeremy Hunt? No thank you. Gove? Ha ha ha.

An ashamed and clinging on for his dear life Boris is better than any of the alternatives imho.

Youre only picking out the obvious asswipes tho? I'm no Tory fan but somewhere in the party there must be a more centre ground candidate that isnt a total knob that could make a go of it

   made me chuckle that

Johnson only ever thinks of himself. That's why the cabinet is stuffed with lightweights that present not the slightest threat to him. As a result of that not one was prepared to lead a concerted effort to remove him. No other government in recent times would have the likes of Dorries, Rees-Mogg, Patel, Truss, Braverman and Raab in the cabinet and they know it. I'm sure there are good people in the ranks who could do a much better job than Johnson but I suspect they will never get the chance as Johnson will cling to power until defeated in a general election.
