Kryton, I thought you hadn't even put the iS in sport+ yet? What on earth will you do in a Porsche with all that extra hp ? You can't take it with you you know...

Tyre pressure monitoring £428
Chrome '911S' badge on rear cover £75
Disc locked rear diff £753

Floor mats and a badge are extra :o

Sounds great, If we can ever pry the in-laws 997 off them i will be well happy. Its a cracking motor, like you say GT3 or similar is just bonkers but the Cs is an all rounder.

Such a long due date is mad though...... dont you fancy the current model?

Cheers PaulN

Drove a new 997S yesterday and it really is fast especially with the 7 speed box, but the new one will be a lot better/faster, after I was dropped off at home I took my iS out and it seemed like I was driving a Reliant Robin :o

The iS is probably coked up by now though! :poke: :P

Besides the seats being electric, does it do anything else in combination? On the BMW, you can't have dipping mirrors without it for example.

As I am the only driver of the car, I would not bother with electric seats unless it did something else in combination.

They are rather heavy arn't they, all the young men that lifted mine in where built like rugby players, I could not even lift one end of the shorter length's that went in the utility room :o

Nice to have something that's millions of years old though.

Why? did you watch them make it from your crib?

Sorry K, I get sh*t like that all the time so I couldn't resist.

A free keyring? :)

On the car I just ordered I got 0 discount, the waiting list is just too long. All they wanted to offer was a "free" wind deflector as it is a convertible for my wife.

Just got my new order in, I've gone for this model (991) because I think 415 bhp and 190+ mph are good enough for me :driving: delivery March 1st 2012, I think the GT3 was a bit over the top for a 65 year old!
Options, 7 speed box (which I tried this morning) Sports exhaust which can be adjusted for noise , Sat-nav bollock's, and a few other items that should be standard but aren't :headbang:

New model will be lighter than the 997

Will be selling my Z a couple of months after I take delivery (anyone?)

Nice car and Congratulations ....
