6k for engine swap

If you really must keep your car body...get an interesting engine...not a regular bmw one...go for the v8 corvette option a few of the yanks have done. Then it's at least more special :)

great thread!

JE, I personally think you're an idiot spending that kind of money on a Z car...

but then, I'm an idiot that has just wasted almost £20k on an old RS6... so you are my kind of idiot... 8) :D

( I figure a lovely V8 bi turbo on the drive is far better than numbers in a bank account)

hope you make your mind up soon, have fun, and ignore the negative people... your money, your decision...

I think JE is trying to compensate for something in trying to make his car bigger and better.
We all know that his main problem is that he has a very small... engine

Jonny you should read this recent article on Pistonheads and all the comments below regarding tuning. Hopefully it will answer your questions, especially from the real world users comments.

Ha, what coincidentally perfect timing.

Perfect timing, but what a load of s***te...

Far, far too many people in this world trying to tell others what is and what is not a decent way to spend their own hard earned money...especially when they don't agree with the hobby, or don't see "value" in it.... :headbang:

Just wondering if the modded Zed is someone on here? :D

That article in PHs was pants. I can't disagree with any of the logic, it's the principle. I spent £23000 and continue to spent around £2-3000 +depritiation, a year on my MR, because it's fun. I haven't moded it in any way, but if I choose to and could aford to, so what. it's a hobbie, a boys toy. Spend what you like, how you like, as long as you can afford it.

(Bit of a rant for me) :x
