Sorry to hear about the job Patrick,

Good luck with sale. I know I jest a lot about the frequency at which you sell your car, but I hope everything turns out ok

Thanks mate , its a worry .... :( .... if we get an all sales conference in Manchester or somewhere random its curtains. Just hope everything is ok, naturally am taking a step away form sports cars for a while ... reckon it will be at least a year due to the impending changes due in 2015.

Putting the Range Rover Vogue up for sale too .... just in case :(

Sorry to see you selling Patrick, I haven't even seen this one going up and down the lane. I missed you selling the Porsche

You'd probably make a living trading cars, buying and selling as you do :)

If time and commitments were slightly different I'd have had a serious think about offering a part ex, as I'd like an auto. An after market LSD would just finish off a 3.5iS for me. Unfortunately the money I have is all earmarked for daughters education plus an extended vacation at the end of the year.

Thanks Stu strange times with work not to nice at all

The Porsche sold in under 15 hours from the advert going live to a deposit in my hand in was quite insane a few months back. This came up for sale and I always fancied one , its an amazing drive and the power when required is relentless! I think due to the DCT box and the fact its has 370 lbs of torque its instant and scary fast. Normally I have n/a cars so you have to work the engine quite a lot.... but this thing is like nothing else! Its's a tad twitchy at higher speeds on the lanes but tbf so was the Z4MC am not quite sure if Bmw have got the right set up yet.. compared to a Porsche or Exige? Its has certainly surprised me the ride quality and the cabin is a real step up (I suppose more grown up) and you could eat the miles up in it, reckon it would be wonderful on a European Trip

Well its sitting in my garage only a 50 meters away from yours!

Was not this same car for sale on here 4 weeks ago?

For a considerably cheaper price???

Smells more like speculation to me.

This is the ad in question. http://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=62189

Will leave you members to draw your own conclusions but 'would love to see it go to a forum member' bla bla does not make it a genuine sale or seller.

The prior owner of this car was much more honest and circumspect than this new owner.

Nice car Paza, I owned a 35iS for 14 month's and they really are great performance cars, also with such a low build number prices will firm up in the not to distant future IMO

I've been a member for 4 years on this site and i have nothing to hide a lot of members would vouch for me and I have in fact sold 2 zeds prior to new members and various parts bought and sold over the years, how dare you question my integrity :? , i bought a car .... the government transformed the pension industry a week ago... job not looking as safe as it was prior the legislation change. Selling as a result ...... no more no less

If its a problem for people i bought it in Feb at a winter price ... do not buy it.. simples

I'am confused how I sold a Z4MC 2 years ago for 13.5k and now the same car is 16k? with more miles , thats the way of the world

This is the price I would be selling it for 6 months later like i intended. if you want the 35is this is a fair price have a look around.

Cheers for your input

Sure, good luck.

But i think you bought the car to resell not as an enthusiast buyer.

Thats my opinion and good luck to you. What I dont like is the 'honest' preamble.

A z4mc is a rarer car than the 35is, hence the flactuating market values.

A fair price is the price you paid 3 weeks ago -

I think you need to do your homework:

There are 196 35is registered in UK

Don't think so ! I have been keeping a eye open for 35is for the last 16 months & this is 1 of the first I have seen for sale privately. BMW don't have any used for sale.

I,m surprised it lasted 6 weeks tbh  when the search started with a wanted for Z4M to end up with the e89 the outcome was inevitable for me / hope you didn,t waste £80 switching the plate over

Setting off a car hunt with 2 targets & ending up with a non runner can only end up one way  leave the plate on retention for this one :P

muppet.

Your opinion is based on nothing but speculative ignorance....Paza has been a member here for a long time, owned many cars and has helped many members.....what makes you think he is speculating?

The pension reforms, for a guy working in annuities, is not a good enough reason to sell, to try to prevent himself from being a potentially sticky situation down the line?

in fairness he has requested no discussion; irrespective of what anyone's opinion is, and i'm unsure of what speculative ignorance is... I think others should respect the guy's polite ask.

The guy is simply saying its a bit cheeky to buy a car for 20k on a forum and then attempt to sell for 24k a month later. Which is fair enough.

If I was losing my job I'd try the same...

There's very much an attitude of the 'old guard' on here and if someone dares voice a contrary opinion to a 'senior member' they're brow beaten or shouted down. Which is a bit s**t really.

If hexagon buy a car for 20k and put it up for 30k they're robbing bastards, if a forum member does the same then it's apparently ok :|

Irrespective, good luck with the sale.

I can see both sides of this debate. .and to be fair it doesn't matter what side I personally hang my hat.
This was a for sale ad.. its now trashed as I doubt anyone would buy it for the price asked....

I don,t think anyone as issues with folks buying & selling for whatever reason,s they like , it,s a free world .
I also don,t think there is a problem with someone making a profit as many car,s values do fluctuate with the season
I do however think the point "shawna" was highlighting is don,t big up the " would love this car to go to a forum member " thus implying a favourable deal for potential buyer when in actual fact the seller couldn,t give a toss & just wants the most for his car
As already said , the original seller of the vehicle showed much more decorum
