410 Miles to a tank of fuel. Is it a Z4 RECORD?

I've never monitored a full tank but I frequently get 40mpg+ on 100mile trips from my 3.0i when cruising at 70mph on the motorway with the hood up. Awesome.

As the ///M is not a daily driver and I bought it for the experience I tend to drive it fairly spirited I'm afraid. IMO if I've paid for a cool performance car I want to experience some of that performance and it would seem a shame to be light footed.

Just my opinion though. Was the same in my old 3.0 vert although admittedly I did used to occasionally see how high I could get the mpg.

I got about 380 to a tank on the way to Scotland... But I'm with inkey$ on this, and I drive mine every day, so any high MPG is accidental. I refuse to keep track of my fuel costs as it would be depressing, and then I'd feel guilty forever for not trying to change it

Good efforts though

Me too

I think I only get about 240 miles to a tank and some times less than that

Engine braking down a hill is not only safer, but actually uses no fuel as the engine management cuts it off completely.
If you coast down the same hill with the clutch in, the engine management has to burn fuel otherwise the engine would stall.
