4 x Mclaren 19" Super Lightweight wheels

Whilst forged wheels are typically very strong, I’d have thought these would have been engineered with the weight of the McLaren in mind… not a much heavier vehicle.

Something I was tempted by for my next car actually, the 280 version has the same engine as a Golf R - 340bhp easily with a remap and plenty more possible. Plus the biggest boot known to man.

Google AI suggests sublime, magnificent, transcendent or awe-inspiring.

I like the sound of a Skoda Awe-Inspiring.
Miore like a Skoda Aww Shame

Weight of a 570s is around 1,400kg, which is heavier than my Yeti. The Superb isn't a whole lot more.

I doubt they engineered wheels that can cope with the stresses of 200+mph and the cornering of a supercar on a racetrack, but break if you do 75mph on the M25 in a car that's 200kg heavier.

I’m not clued up on vehicle weights, however, I would have guessed that a 570’s weighed far less than a yeti or superb what with all the Carbon etc. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Who knew!

Which Yeti did you have?

2011 2.0 TDI 170 4x4 aka The Best One!

Still have it but decided Mclaren wheels aren't necessary and to be honest they look a bit silly on a car like that.
