I've only had the Zed for a week but have not been totally happy with the way it handled on the road. I felt that the car was driving me and not the other way round! To be honest it felt unsafe.
I read through dozens of threads on RFT's, Suspensions issues, dodgy roads etc but could'nt decide what the problem was. I decided to take it in to the local Hi-Q Tyre Centre for the 4 wheel alignment which costs £90 (inc vat) to see if it would make the ride any better.......... pleased to say it feels great now
The report which was printed out at the end of the 1 1/2 hour fix suggested that the rear wheels where both way out by several degrees. This was causing the rear wheel to take a slightly different path to the fronts!
Any way I am very happy now. If any one else feels like the handling is very bad, the RFT's may take some of the blame but I cannot recommend the 4 wheel alignment enough.
Ps. If you take it to a Hi-Q tyre centre for a check over they will not charge you a penny if the alignment does not need changing to the correct BMW tollerences.
