... and the brake light has cracked in the corner :(

Is the crack the 'known problem' with the srpings being too tight ... I had mine changed free of charge by BMW?

Cheers

i guess so, im out of warranty though so doubt they would go for that :(

It might be worth a try ... it is a known problem and when the garage put the details of my car and the fault into the BMW system 'to check for goodwill' it came back that they would cover 100% of the parts and labour .... :)

OK, Ill enquire when i go to look at wheels tomorrow!

Would save me £49 and some fitting hassle...

Cheers :)

Way to flaunt the rear spoiler!!! I SOOO want one i might have to drop the 850$ plus shipping!

I also want one but I thought you had to buy the front spoiler (or something like that) as well, sold only as a packaged deal and not seperate for us in the USA..
I love that look..

you do and it's like 900 bucks w/0 shipping from overseas. I haven't found anyone in the states selling them. I would be wiling to pay ~500 bucks once you get close to 1000 wheels start to peak my interest more. :D (so if you come across a deal let me know, visa versa)

No joy, they denied all knowledge of it being a problem  Wouldnt even do a search and they claimed goodwill only relates to recalls, of which there haven't been any...

beginning not to trust them too much :o

I'm also looking for the Alpina spoiler kit, sent an email with details to four US Dealer and none have responded positively up to now. I contacted Alpina-automobiles.com but they are under contract with BMW so can't sell direct. You can find the PDF brochure with all of the accessories available on their site. I'll post if I succeed.

hey gannet, go look for a copy of the Service bulletin and take it in to the BMW dealership and complain. it took me like 2 hours of arguing for them to change it.

powerontap: Looks like we are almost ready for a group buy! :trampoline: I talked with Curtis and told me he could get them but it was about a 6 week lead time and about 900 for the kit (you have to buy the front too)

Right I have found the service bulletin! For anyones future reference here is the linky :D

Once slight concern though, it only mentions cars up to October 2003 and mine was after that!?

Probably take it in anyways

I bought a spare front for £290.35 ( pre painted ) but I'm sure the price I got for the rear was just the rear spoiler only and it was £450.89 unpainted!! I can check further if you like and I can ask about discount for multiple purchases.

O the 450 was just the rear, i didn't think you could buy just the rear? I thought you had to get both. I think it's time to start a new thread!
