I know. It’s the auto switch to cut the aircon when you’re on the M5 with the top down. It increases power by 11.7 BHP.

Looks like an oil cooler thermostat bypass. Forces the oil to always run through the cooler. Very useful for people with upgraded oil coolers that do a lot of track work.

Its an oil cooler bypass valve/sport oil cooler valve.
It increases oil flow through the oil cooler.

Fitting pics attached, probably not in order but i tried.

When fitting the replacement the longer stem on the valve goes in first and the spring is not replaced
