One place where you get a good deal is the Apple store in Ginza. They do Macbook Pros at a far higher spec than UK, with a US keyboard, and it costs £100's less that the UK. Plus you get the tax off. You can get a similar bargain with the Apple watch and iPhones...

Be careful when buying an iPhone. On Japanese models you can't mute the camera sound. I had this on my iPad and found it rather annoying...

True, its law in Japan that the camera sound must always be "on" due to the problem of upskirt photography on the metro & escalators! They even have signs warning people of the issue....

Just saw this pic again, and reminded me of this thread - this was the view from my office window when I was working in Tokyo. Kinda miss it.
