3.0si muffler / back box delete, video + pics attached!

My ears felt the same as when I work the nightclub with no earplugs in, although I'm getting used to it...a lot louder than I thought it would be...not sure how long a journey I could do with the roof up as it's very boomy...BUT...red line it in 2nd, lift off, and it sounds like there's a machine gun going off behind you...that's what's worth the money!!! I'll call by in one evening Phil but we'd have to go far far away from sleepy Thornhill!!

Its only boomy I find when the engine is under strain, i.e. accelerating even a small amount. Its fine for me on a motorway run at 70 once I am at 70.

For those wondering how a 2.5 will sound, mine is the si and it's bloody loud!!

Has anyone carried out a ecu reset (disconnect the battery for a number of hours) after they have done the conversion?

I presume your referring to the ecu adapting to the potential performance gain of the exhaust, in which case no there is no need to do this it'll already run at the optimum map for the car.

It wasnt for gains as such but i guess that the exhaust flow could be different. Having said that its been suggested that many other BM's that have had a backbox delete have benefited from a ecu reset...

It could be just placebo i guess

Well all done today! It not loud at all, it's bloody loud. Anything above 70 drones in a big way, but getting to it is amazing. I'll update with vids etc over the weekend but this is not for the subtle people. Pop pop bang  :driving:

Had mine done at infinity exhausts
It's most enjoyable with the top down. The best is giving it the beans in 2nd gear

I had to put the foam back I'm (mike your right ) as all the foam removed is too much for me

I'm pleased I got it done and ill do a video soon if someone can show me how to upload a video
