3.0i FOR SALE - will be sorely missed.

Hi All,

Starting to write this advert is very sad for me but I think I need to be an adult and sell my Z4, as I need the money for wedding expenses

I have owned this grey 2004 3.0i SE Z4 for just over a year and since buying her I have done everything that she needed and spent a lot of money on her. She has had an inspection 2 at a main dealer and in the last 5,000 miles and this compliments her full main dealer service history she wont need another service for just over 10,000 miles.

This car has also been garaged every night (apart from when i am away from home) and most days. It has mostly been used as a weekend car.

I have just put two new Michelin Pilot Super Sport 3 tyres on the back the fronts may need doing soon. I have also replaced the front wishbones and rear bushes with Lemforder parts.

fewer than 2,500 miles ago the car had a full brake overhaul at significant cost. It now has the bigger front rotors (from the SI). I used EBC turbo groove discs all round with EBC yellowstuff pads! It really stops!

The car also is sitting on Eibach pro springs and 224 wheels (from an M roadster). The springs were fitted with new drop links fewer than 2,000 miles ago

The full spec list is:

2004 3.0i SE
Red Leather
Electric, heated seats.
Intravee with an iPod/iPhone dock in what used to be the ashtray.
73,000 miles
224 wheels
Miltek Exhaust (still have the original)
Full brake upgrade
Eibach pro kit (still have original springs)
New battery fitted last year.
Tax until October
MOT until July (I can re MOT if necessary)
New Michelin PS3s on the rear.
Royal Steering wheels steering wheel
M gear Knob
OBD computer

The car does have a few marks, it has a scuff on the front bumper and the rear bumper and the third brake light is cracked. I was going to fix these but didn't get round to it.

This really is a great car and has only ever been run on premium fuel in my ownership it has only ever had one MOT advisory and that was for windscreen wipers!!. BMW said that it was one of the best quality E85s they had seen at the recent inspection 2.

I will put some more pictures up when i get a chance to take some. Feel free to contact me to arrange a viewing.

I am asking for £7,000 as I know I will never get back everything I have put into the car.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for the support. Everyone on here is really friendly and I will be recommending the forum to whoever buys it (provided it is not sold on here of course).

Allt best

Andrew

Lovely looking car mate, can see you've spent alot of money on it!

I'm sure you will sell it, good luck

I can only see one picture.

Hi Mate

Where abouts are you based and do you have anymore pics to put up?

Looks like a nice motor

Cheers

Hi Alfa,

Thanks very much, it is a great car and I really love it. I will hate selling it.

I am going to take some more photos this week and post them up.

I am based in Ipswich, if you want to have a look let me know.

All the best

Andrew

I have just given the zed a clean and updated the photos - as you can see she is a great example!

chico656, thank you for the interest but I am looking for very close to 7k because I have put so much into the car so recently.

Please pm me for viewings, at the moment this is the only place the car is advertised. I will be putting on Pistonheads and auto trader in a week or so, I would love her to go to an enthusiast though.

She a beaut. GLWTS. Oh - and I dont care what anyone says - amber indicators on Sterling Grey look brilliant.

Any luck selling the car yet buddy?

I'd still offer £6k cash for it if your still interested, I know £1k off the asking price is a slap in your face but always worth a try! :)

Liking the photos. I'm now in the position where I have to sell my car before buying a z4 so I may not be in the running unless you fancy a cheeky p/x with an Alfa 159? 8)

Mafoo, thanks very much mate. Yer I like the orange with the grey as well!

Bayley, hello mate, thanks very much for the offer but I can't accept 6k the car is fantastic. Make me an offer closer to the asking price.

Alfa a, Alfa, I do like the 159 but it would still pose the problem that the zed poses me. Trust me I do not want to sell the car I absolutely LOVE it! But needs must.

swanicyouth, it is not the girlfriend making me sell it mate. She is devastated to see it go, she doesn't know about any wedding plans it is me that is doing it as a surprise.

I have had a few people interested so will keep it on here until the weekend at which point I will list it on pistonheads and autotrader.

Thanks again for everyone's input. Great lads

Hi All,

Car is now sold to a forum member, I will allow them to introduce themselves in due course.

Thanks again to all for the help and information over the last year and a bit I hope to join the club again in the near future.

All the best

Andrew

Someone's got themselves a top car there!

Quick question- what is the "RDY" display under the drivers-side air vent?

Thanks

Hi Horse,

Sorry for the late reply,

It is an OBD computer, it does things like: 0-60 time, coolant temp, engine speed, car speed etc. the "rdy" means that it was on 0-60 timer at the time of the photo and because the car was stationary it was ready to record.

Thanks for the comment on the car. It was very hard to let it go. The new owner will take great car of it so I am happy in that respect.

All the best

Andrew

Hi everyone,

The new owner is me :D Went to collect the car from Andrew last wednesday, loving it so far!
Will be introducing myself properly at some point over the next couple of days once i've got some pictures of the car after it's first clean!

Holy thread resurrection, Batman.

I was reading through this thinking £7k was a big ask for a mid mileage 3.0i, then I realised the thread was over 10 years old 😅. It was probably a bargain back then.
