It's been done before.

Watched Moser riding this bike on the Saffron Lane Velodrome in Leicester back in 1988. It took him a lap and a bit to get it really moving. Wonder if our friend will have the same problem?

haha no no no, i waste far too much money on cars and working constantly haha its not all amazing ..... hope that makes you feel a little better ;)

Good thread! :D

Not for me but its your car and you do whatever you like to it.
Typical American style, people wouldn't bat an eyelid over there at those wheels.

Don't worry what some of the guys say on here, they get palpitations at my yellow zed because its not white, silver, blue etc etc. :poke:

Well said Ms.Carol. One is free to mod as they see fit. For a few more years at least. Until the U.N. forces the world to start driving Gee Whiz cars. Of course that same freedom also means I can and will give my opinion on said mods. Sorry OP.

So then. I'm one of the Americans that does not care for the typical American 100% style :scratchhead: and Zero% substance car mods. It's the American Chopper syndrome. Indiscriminately bolt on everything from the JC Whitney catalog and not a thought goes into whether it will really work or not. 22" wheels with 35mm spacers. Can you imagine the stress on this guys hub and bearing assembly? Can the wheel itself handle the cornering loads that a Zed can generate? My thoughts are that the best handling cars on the earth (F1 cars) use 13" wheels. If 22" wheels made an F1 car go faster or corner harder. They would use them.

im 27 and im selfmade...

Please, would you care to explain, to non-native english speaker, what do you mean by that?

You know, it actually made me reflect on my miserable self.

I'm almost 36 and tend to self-destruct. :dizzy:

you know its crazy that you guys talk about my z loosing handling when the truth is ....it does not...the car has great handling and i do no have 35 mm spacers lol the offset is +35 and i did drop the front end 1.5 inches and the rear is droped 1 inch and this is why i still have great handling..:) and what i mean by selfmade is that i never had any hand me downs from mommy or poppy. My family was broke as a child. Never steped a foot in college as well.....when i got out of prison i decided I wanted the wealth but legally lol.... Truth is the money is out there for anyone as long as they want it bad...got my z @25 and im loving it like mcdonalds..lol...

dude how about u just get up off my page with all that hating.....it was a joke...

I don't hate it, when did I say that?! I actually quite like it, apart from the wheels. What about an ///M badge? Anyway, if you want me up and off your page you need to go the 'Ban the person above you' topic :D In all seriousness, it's a Z4. A great car so it was only a bit of humour, no harm intended. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all. It is missing a roof though :poke: :)

Not as good as the blue one with X5 wheels, that was a real caricature of itself but oddly it worked for me.

Opps! I stand corrected per the spacers. And no. I don't think your car has the American Choppers syndrome. That was just a general observation after having spent many years building cars. Plus a few years in a motorcycle shop in the US. I'm just generally not a fan of big wheels for the sake of big wheels. The ride on my factory 18"s and sport suspension W/non RFT's is great. But. Any less sidewall and I fear the ride would suffer. Plus an overly stiff tire can just skip and hop over bumps in a corner causing a loss of traction. And lord help you should you not see a pot hole in the road and hit it.

I've been living in Europe (Germany) for 3 years now. I have traveled all over Europe and Turkey. The ONLY place I have seen the huge wheels is when I go to one of the US military facilities. They just aren't popular in Europe. And if I remember correctly. In Germany. You would not likely pass the required safety inspection. As a car not designed by the factory to handle the leverage on the hubs from a large wheel can result in bearing/hub issues. And with the average autobahn speed of 100MPH. Bearing or hub failure would not be a good thing.
