224 refurb disaster :(

Shame but I'd say that's not right. You lose the detail as they're too dark and the blue tinge is too much.

Like others have said, speak to them and say that they're really not what you wanted and can something be done.

This is why its usually best to look through the forums for a respected paint shop, find someone who has had the wheels done in a similar colour that you want and ask them for the colour, etc.

That most definitely is not anthracite and there is far too much green/blue in there. I would discuss it with the company and get them redone :)

Echo your thoughts, from those photos they don't look good. The close up to my eyes looks quite green! I would be going back to see if they would offer a respray or 1/2 price offer. Did you pay on a credit card?

They do look to have a blue tinge, but anthracite does..

Maybe if they where shiny it would help a bit, but the matt finish dulls them down further..

Like has been said, I don't think the refurbers have done a lot wrong... Just a bad choice of colour and finish.

Do they really have a blue tinge in normal sunlight, or is that the camera / white balance?

If they do look as blue as in the photo's, I would go back to them and say you are not happy. They may give you a reduced rate as suggested.

Personally, I don't like anthracite wheels. The front wheels of my Zed go black enough after a few miles!

What happened to customer warranty? If your buy something thats not right then surely the responsibility lies back with seller. How did you pay?

Thanks guys, looking at having this sorted ASAP. Paid cash unfortunately. The wheels do you look i must admit myself but the colour is hideous.

The OP hasn't complained of any disappointment in finish or any damage to car/ rims / tyres , why should the company who has done the work be in the wrong & have to cover the costs of re-doing it ?
The OP was shown the paint & gave the nod , he made a simple a mistake , everyone makes them
The way forward is to look for a solution , not look for someone to blame

Ye its def not the right colour, looks like an aqua tint to me.

I had gunmetal grey, had a slight flek but I never really liked them as soon as they got slightly dirty they were very dull, constantly cleaning them, dark wheels loose shape imo and get lost in the wheel arch especially on dull days but thats just my opinion.

Heres what mine looked like.

Thats with light directed so the pics came out, this is how it looked realistically dirty with flat light, which is how they looked 90% of the time.

Whereas the OEM silver looks great imo when it catches the light, it almost glows. If you wanted a little more contrast you could go Hyper silver which is has more light catching ability.

tomscott, said it before, I'll say it again - the main reason I took the plunge on mine. Stunning.
