2023 National meet (no.14), Friday 30th JUNE, SATURDAY 1st,SUNDAY 2nd JULY, 2023,LAKES+DALES

Hi all, Hilary and I have been on NC500 this week, what beautiful scenery and experiencing hair-raising single track roads but there are loads of potholes and worn tarmac everywhere
During the trip I had a few issues.... a day before NC500 warning lights came up like Blackpool Lights after driving over the cobbled surface, the warnings are ABS, Brake, tire, etc. so I think it's more like the ABS sensor didn't like the shakes  ..... then the next day when driving out of the car park and didn't see the high kerb, the front offside bumper and the inner cover dislocated, I managed to push it both back in position temporarily, and thirdly today the roof started to move slowly and stop midway and wouldn't closed properly, it is working after opening and closing a couple of times but the motor sound like crying.... needs topping up ??

Anyway we will see you all tomorrow and looking forward to it :driving: :driving:

P.S. please could one of you bring a diagnostic tool with you, Many thanks.

My 65th Birthday today but can only have a few beers due to early drive tomorrow.
However should be arriving at the campsite at around 14.00 with the usual coolbox of beers and the JD Bar. Be great if some of the Hotel peeps could pop around for a few free beers. rsz_pxl_20220701_142526828_tonemapped.jpg

Happy birthday mate, looking forward to catching up with you soon :driving:

I had the same lights light up on the way up to Crooklands a few years ago on the M6. Yes it was the abs cable and sensor. I drove the weekend with them coming on intermittently all weekend. Problem was solved when I changed the O/S sensor cable (5 min job) Last year the the lights came on again just the once (for the other sensor N/S ) and so I changed that one too just in case. I can bring that old N/S cable as it might be better than yours?

Afternoon all. Looking forward to tomorrow. :driving:

What's the likely start time for the drive on Saturday? Obs we'll aim to arrive before that to have a chat to you lovely folk, but don't want to set off to early!

Hi Craig, not sure if I’ll make it on time, m6 closed so trying to get there for 10. If not then if you have first stop location I can join at, I’ll try for that. Otherwise will likely miss it. Somewhere near long bridge at mo

I sat in the queue for 45 mins until Tickled Trout junction then went up A59 to Gisburn, then Settle and met up with Craig and the others at Hawes. In Stanhope, N.Pennines just now for lunch stop. Great run out so far :driving: :D
