A wee coolant leak :headbang:
At least you have this week to get it fixed

Headlights are looking good

Strange one, stripped out the expansion tank expecting a crack in it, but nothing, through it all back together and it appears fine, no leaks

Will do some heavy duty sunny testing before the weekend :D
And bring a huge water bottle just in case lol

2 down, 2 to go...

3 hours for the first seat (including going to ScrewFix for 8 missing M8x25mm bolts, and drilling extra holes in the sliders that didn't line up with the floor mounts) and 55 minutes for the second.

No warning lights or anything, as I've got a proper BMW occupancy sensor mat under the passenger seat cushions, and the pre-tensioners are all in place should the worst happen.

Still think I need to get them dyed to champagne to match - but that can wait for a week or two.

Really should have picked a cooler day to do them though, as I really could have done without lugging those OE seats into a boiling hot loft this afternoon.

Tony those seats look amazing   I bet they cost a few bob though

They’re probably at the cheaper end of the Recaro range, but that just means they’re more expensive than steel frame, or knock-off versions :P

It’s when you research all the other little bits you need to fit them, that you realise they cost almost as much as the seats.

at least they’re in now, and I’ve done 250 miles in them so far - in one trip - and find them as comfortable as OE sports seats, and much better in corners.

Only downside so far is the seat belt receptacle doesn’t sit properly and digs into my hip slightly. The seat is too close to the trans tunnel for me to check why until I get back home on Thursday.

Just a quick shout out but is anyone from the Newcastle area travelling down just for the Sunday drive. If so we can convoy down.
Send me a PM if we have any takers cozy I might overlook it if its in this thread

Chez

Friday Crooklands meal ordered.
Was going to ask them to slaughter a couple of goats to the weather gods, but don’t thing we will need it now. :D

Craig

Would I be able to have an electric hook up at the campsite? Looking to put Lisa's car on the pitch to charge. Called Waters Edge and she said to clear it with you. Told them I would sort any extra costs with them.

Cheers,

Hi Craig. Unfortunately I will not be on the Sunday drive now due to family commitments. However, I will definitely be there on Saturday with our foster - daughter Morgan as my co-pilot. We're both looking forward to it. See you then, Si

Cheers,

Brian, the Campsite is under new management, again,as Tony is no longer there due to ill health.
New couple have taken it over,so only spoke to them a couple of times.
Shouldn't imagine it would be a problem,as there are still hook up points at the top end of the tent area in2017....if they are still there, then I don't see why not, mate.
Just sort out costs with them.
We can sort it on Friday afternoon, when we get there mate
Will give them a wee ring as well.

Look forward to seeing you there :driving:

I stayed there in May. The top end is now caravans right into the corner but I think the power points are still also where Brian pitched last year. The new guy who is managing the site this year was very friendly and accommodating I found.
