He shouldn't be reffing such a big game as the emphasis, as you say, will be on his performance and not on the warriors going head to head.
On balance England deserved it. They controlled the game for 60 minutes.
Jasey predicted a 5 point England win & I predicted that Wales couldnt attack and would rely on the "Bosh it up the middle method".
Both were pretty much correct. Wales only chucked it about as they had nothing to lose in the end.
Whether it was Rhys Webb giving quick ball, Chartris disrupting the Maul and Tipuric being more attacking than Warburton I dont know, but all three changes seemed to make an imassive and instant impact
I hope Gatland starts with the finishing 15 and stops picking Warburton all the time just because he's captain, rather than on form.

Wales found their form way too late, sadly - for a few minutes it looked possible they'd edge it though.

Strange that Wales had the penalty reversed for the "eye" incident, when Cole had already been carded for being over the ball and stopping play in the first place. If the worst offence prevails and Cole got carded & Francis didnt, why did England get possession ?

I'm all for equal opportunities but there's no place for a blind TMO.
