Yup, thanks again to Craig for organising! Was the best drive I've had in my Z4 since getting her in December, and was great to meet you all, and put some faces to names. :)

I didn't take many pics - just a couple here of Craig in front of me (not so easy taking pics behind me with the coupe :P ) ...

Good to meet you Billy, and glad you enjoyed your first forum meet, hope to see you at another one  :driving:

Always find it hard to have a mix of good driving/roads,and getting time to chat to everyone as much as you would like.
Good to meet you though, and we couldn't have asked for much better re weather, and mainly traffic free routes :driving: :D

Nice pics guys. Good to see the weather held up. Though I gather it's been in the mid 20s up in Scotland today. 8)

I've been cursing the hot weather up there looking at the Ben Nevis web cam. Bathed in glorious sunshine, melting all that lovely snow and knowing it won't look like that next week when I'm climbing up it. Ice axe at the ready

Yeah, got to love the ever changing Scottish & British weather we get.

Practically tropical,haha

Hope the weather is good for you!

I didn't believe the Ben Nevis webcam so thought I'd get my backside up there to have a look myself. It was freaking awesome sitting on the roof of the UK at 4,413 feet getting sunburnt!

Had a great hoon with the guys on Saturday but thought I'd like to get a different perspective since the good weather is so inviting.

Also got on top of Carn mor Dearg, next door to the Ben where I was buzzed by two US Air Force F-15 Eagle fighter jets using me for target practice screaming to a crescendo over my head, gotta love the Sound of Freedom!

It was all kicking off, there was also a helicopter rescue taking place, someone had fallen off the arrette linking the Ben to the Carn (there was snow on it and it got quite gusty, I would never cross it in snow - people die walking on snow in Scottish Mountains because inexperience can't tell you whether it is cornicing. If you walk on snow it is best to check if it is snow on rock rather than snow on snow!).

I've included a different view of the A82 out of Glencoe for Saturdays Hooners! Enjoy!

It looks lovely up there geezer. You can scrabble up the Ben coming from the arrette side. Take the path up to the CiC hut that the ice climbers use then pop up on the wrong side of the summit than the tourist path. You get some queer looks from the tourist climbers popping up in your running gear and past them :D

To my shame I haven't been up this year but you have given me the kick up the backside I need. Looks amazing today.

I also have been meaning to get up Ben Nevis although it will be a 1st for me and I'm not totally convinced I'm actually fit enough :( Knee's give me grief now and again and still visiting chiropracter but I'll give it a go.......soon :P

Great pictures Geezah. Very jealous, too much on to get up there this week. Think it may look a little different next week.

Cheers buzyg, just got down from the hills today, weather has been awesome.

Based myself at Tyndrum and I thoroughly recommend the Real Food Cafe for awesome fish and chips, haddock not cod of course!
This place leaves the popular Green Welly in the shade, this is my new stop, I recommend it to all hooners in this part. Enjoy.

I agree the fish and chips are excellent and this is where I stop if I need to. It only depends on the size of your group as the parking at the Welly is so much easier although you can park at the tourist I do place next door to the cafe as well.

The tourist path up to the top of Ben Nevis is actually not too bad, have rescued people from the top wearing flip-flops! If your knees are the issue, get a pair of good walking poles, they reduce the strain by around 30%. Check up on the forecast and away you go!

That's my lunch stop for Thursday sorted then. Weather is looking proper biblical. Can it really rain more in Scotland than Cornwall. Guess I about to find out. :D

First rain here at the moment for two weeks. The light but soaking kind :(

And yes I can guarantee it rains more here than anywhere else in the UK.

That said it is one of the most scenic (not always pretty) and dramatic places to stay.

Hope the weather gets a bit better for you.

Yup I've been watching the Ben Nevis web cam for a fortnight. Suddenly, after blue sky every day, all the mountains have vanished completely from view. Winds getting up too so might have to be the tourist route up the Ben, which will be a bit disappointing after training for two months. Fingers crossed for a few hours weather window to try the CMD Arette.
