2016 Scottish runs,Braemar,Etc,SATURDAY 7TH MAY

Well I stepped out at Fort William (as that's where I live) so the rest will still be driving or not long in.

A great day out with a few very "spirited" parts  :driving:

Didn't take many photos but what I have are shown below but it was good to meet with people I have met before on the meet to Skye last year and also some new faces.

Looking forward to the Glasgow meet at the end of the month and hope the June meet can be sorted. Some great roads in the South which I haven't driven in a long time.

Pre Start

On the Road

Great day out, thanks for organizing Craig.
Nice to see everybody and the weather was kind for the best part of the day.
Real early start but to get the best of the roads and squeeze in the miles, needs must.
Cant remember where we stopped for lunch but the food was brilliant, hope they didnt spit in yours Craig after asking them to hurry up.
Total distance for us was around 360 miles with very little traffic the whole day.
Only real traffic we hit was at Loch Lomond on the way home, which is the norm.
Highlight of the day was following Mike behind a Vauxhall Agila that was doing over 90 at some places near Loch Laggan.

As long as you weren't going that fast Stuart !
(I need to look up what a Vauxhall Agila is?)

Also a big thanks to Craig for organising yet another run. :D

It looked like this

Great to see the Scottish contingent old and new today, thanks to Craig for the background work, hope everyone else enjoyed the day too . Some excellent roads and driving, good weather too - worst traffic was a livestock lorry doing about 20mph down Glen Ogle on the way home for the East coast posse!

It was the Carrbridge hotel......and I didn't ask them to hurry up,just asked how long it would be.
(We had been waiting an hour, lol)

402 miles for me.....though Allan/metallicker would be the farthest travelled today

Funny, that same red Agilla was doing just 50-55,when I passed it,as it had been holding me back for a wee while,so it must have got a move on after I passed it at speed, lol :driving:

Cheers, good to see you,Andrew, and the route planning wasn't too bad,and ta for taking the lead for a wee bit,to allow us to skip the a9 altogether and give me a wee break from being lead all the time.....likewise Gary, for doing the same between Spean bridge and Fort wlm.
Had fun ,and enjoyed the company, always good.
Weather and scenery also excellent :)
