Thanks for replies.
I don't have any camping gear. I presume i will need tent etc i dont mind slumming it. Stupid question do i need my own tent or can i hire? Not been camping since school, can sleep anywhere after a few beers! :tumbleweed:

I've been using a £30 2 man tent at the National for the past 4 years. Saying that I am gonna buy myself something bigger for this year.
Other than that a blow up mattress and a sleeping bag at around £10 each and you're sorted.
Up to you if you bother with cooking gear but a few of us normally go down to the local Petrol Station to get coffee and cake takeaway for brekkie.
We'll be eating in Crooklands on Fri Eve and BBQ Sat eve and lunch out on the Sat and Sun Drives.
The bar is normally open when I arrive early Friday afternoon.

Could you borrow one off a mate? That's what I did in the past before I got a demanding girlfriend.

Don't you be blaming Tina, after your attempts at camping you would still be staying in a hotel even if she wasn't there :poke:

Nice campsite there though, and tents are good value at Decathalon or Go outdoors

Think we will only make the Sunday and may not own a zed by then either

Cheeky moo! An element of truth although my previous camping experience at the National Meet was 100 times more pleasurable than that in Scotland! As we all know well, rain and midges are banned for the National Meet.

Hi there.
I am relatively new to this forum but would love to come along for the drives if possible. Please could you put myself and my wife Alison down for the drives on both Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th ?
Many thanks, Si.

Be great to see you there.

Add me to the list please.

I'll be there whether the car is on new brakes/suspension or not as the Welsh hoon today showed the car was still more than capable of handling the twisties with 130k old springs & dampers.

Crooklands booked for me - see you sometime Friday afternoon.

Won't bother bringing any expensive wine with me this year though - seems that Skol will suffice :P

Someone hide the red wine! It'll be great to see you there again Tony :)
Can't hide what I' em brought with me. Although I think i'll be on the gin this time, as I can drink much more of that.

Rude not to considering I'll probably have the least travelling to get there :)
