I don't have any camping gear. I presume i will need tent etc i dont mind slumming it. Stupid question do i need my own tent or can i hire? Not been camping since school, can sleep anywhere after a few beers!![]()
I've been using a £30 2 man tent at the National for the past 4 years. Saying that I am gonna buy myself something bigger for this year.
Other than that a blow up mattress and a sleeping bag at around £10 each and you're sorted.
Up to you if you bother with cooking gear but a few of us normally go down to the local Petrol Station to get coffee and cake takeaway for brekkie.
We'll be eating in Crooklands on Fri Eve and BBQ Sat eve and lunch out on the Sat and Sun Drives.
The bar is normally open when I arrive early Friday afternoon.
An element of truth although my previous camping experience at the National Meet was 100 times more pleasurable than that in Scotland! As we all know well, rain and midges are banned for the National Meet.
