Picking this back up... the trade in figures are interesting and it clearly shows how depreciation slows...
Around a year ago when the 20i offer was on, I looked into the deal to see if it was worth swapping the 35i into a 20i. At the time the 20i deal was of course very appealing (bar the drop in power and loss of toys), but the trade in figure was diabolical for my car.
So here we are present day, and I've been offered exactly the same figure trade in as I was a year go, while looking at this 520D ED. Clearly they weren't making much on the 20i's hence a crap trade in value. I'm not so happy about the current figure but its in line with what you'd expect from a dealer. I'll avoid the figures on here, but thought it curious at least.
