Hard to tell but it looks like the coupe with a retractable hard top.
They hide the body lines well with that annoying pattern.

Looks like there'll only be one version.
Twin tail pipes & a front intercooler looks like it'll be the 135/335 tt for power.

I like the way it seems balanced between front and back of the car.

I also wonder if I can get some of that contact paper for my car.

I'm not so sure I like it but that is what I said about the Z4 when I first saw pics of it... :?

Looks tall. I think our Z4s appear lower and meaner. I dunno, maybe it's difficult to tell with all that crazy camoflage. But we'll wait and see.

What's with the small back window. Wonder if it goes down with the top. Would not want the retractable top as there can't be any trunk space.

Do not like what i can see especially that extra window much prefer the shape of our cars but as said will have to wait and see may turn out OK.

The side profile reminds me of a Tuscan.

I think it's just taped off.

Yup, looks like a retractable hard top. They still have more than a year to release the car so I wouldn't take any of these photos *too* seriously. I pray they will:

1. Keep the exterior virtually in-tact (slightly bigger car is OK with me);
2. Get rid of glove box and create more space for passenger;
3. Rip out the cup holders! *gulp*;
4. More updated dash/console look;
5. DVD player integrated in nav system (I know most of you don't care about this one);
6. Double the horsepower!!;
7. Have iPod integration (middle console near hand brake);
8. Add wi-fi in the car (again, most of you don't care);
9. Do away with runflat tires and add more suspension; and...
10. Standard LEPPERD SKIN HEATED SEATS. :dance2:

Otherwise, it's a pretty friggin' nice car!!

Looks good from what you can see with that design!

But.

I do think it has lost the "unique" look of the present one. :|

I like the progresion in design. Hood looks further in and fenders look wider. Overall, it looks like it will be about the size of an Aston Martin Vantage - hope it isn't in the same price range!

If the Z2 keeps with the size that has been announced, then our Z4s will become that "classic in the middle" as far as size, regaing it's value after several years of price discounting.

I think it will be positive generation growth!

I heard through rumor mill next Z4/Z5 will be built in Germany? I had the luxury of meeting senior management at BMW and they of course where hush__________I would go out and say that it is a strong change the new Z will be built in Germany!!!!!!!!!!!!

If that is the case, we might be paying a ton more of $$, EURO, LBS for the nest rev?

At least we can still shed some weight for peeps who want the soft top :)

This prototype is sporting the retractable hard top, although new
reports out of Germany tell us that buyers will also be given the
opportunity to choose a soft-top option.

It looks very evolutionary, apart from the roof obviously. The roof still doesn't look quite right to me, so it'll be interesting to see how the final version looks. I think it will have three pieces as opposed to two in the SLK.

I did a bit of photoshop messing.
