On prestige cars like BMW Mercedes etc the spec and colour combo can make a big impact on price so it not surprising the one in the link is offered at 8.5K also almost 100K miles!

I do wonder why this is not selling.
Its not got huge miles , its not a bad colour and it looks really clean.
Is it because its an auto, its location or the weather?

Possibly a little bit if everything. Edinburgh's hardly out the way though. Trans will always be marmite. I'm guessing the weather and time of year playing a big part in it.

I'll listen to any offers. What's the worst that can happen? I can only say no :)
By location I meant the fact that it is north of the border. This seems to put cars out of reach for the rest of the UK.

Yeah, I know what you mean. At least I'm not in Norfolk. That's the arse end of nowhere :)

I jest, but it is a nightmare to drive down that way. I'm only 15 mins from a major airport and railway station

Much like anything you'll get people that will travel for the right car. I drove 5 hours to get mine but I know that's not for some people.

C'est la vie. One day

I travelled from Argyll to Devon (nearly 700 miles each way) for the car I wanted. So I agree people will travel if it’s the right car.

IMO yours is now at that good a price that it doesn’t exactly have to be exactly the right car, it’s a steal at that price and the money saved gives the new owner a fair bit of leeway to make any changes to get it exactly the way they want (except trans obviously)

As mentioned previously by other members the only thing I can think of may be the wheels. I saw them in an advert without tyres before I bought my car, quite liked them, saw them on your car did like them, next time your car popped up I didn’t and so on each time I see it, can’t make my mind up if I’d like them or not. Might be enough to make some potential buyers dither possibly??

I’ve flown to Scotland from Bristol a couple of times for cars and driven them back, one was a rather smart DC5 about 10+ years ago...

For the right car an enthusiast will travel

Thanks to all for the kind and positive feedback. Certainly not threatened by the car posted in the link previously as there's really not much of a comparison

I agree 100% here. In my opinion I'm being more that fair with the price. Not greedy in any way and as you say it leaves plenty of room to spend a little money to make it the perfect car.

Just gotta wait :)

I know its not for everybody and have never used them myself but have you had a quote from WBAC or anywhere like that to see what they offer?

I've got mine up for sale and did a WBAC just out of interest. White 2009 30i sDrive, black interior on 47k miles - £6145!! Wont be doing that then.

Also had somebody offer to help me out with a quick sale for £6k!!!

And WBAC will probably offer you less when they actually view the car sadly

That was probably a trader offering to help you out. Just some 8 months ago BMW Sytners were offering me a 2009 47K 30i for 13,700 GBP! even in the auction the car will make a lot more but then WBAC know that since a lot of times the cars they buy from the public end up in auctions especially since WBAC is now owned by British Car Auctions.
