2008 E85 3.0SI - Space grey, Red Leather. 90k **SOLD*

So if I'm reading the service history correctly, it's never had an inspection 2, gone up to 28k between sevices and it's last brake fluid change was in 2014?

I think you are reading the book correctly.

I know that the previous forum owner, changed the spark plugs, air filter, and pollen filter himself prior to my purchase at 88k miles. And BMW did the oil service (as indicated in the book).

Regarding the brake fluid - He also did brake fluid change as he refurbed brakes.

And I’ve done coolant change when I changed water pump and thermostat.

So the inspection 2 was a DIY.

I’ve got receipts for the parts he purchased and fitted.

 worth pointing out as to the uninitiated, the service history looks a bit thin on what otherwise is a lovely looking car.

Thanks for the advice. My last post should clear up any questions - basically the car was most recently, fully serviced 2k miles ago.

As I said, I bought from a forum member (who also had a M roadster) so I was satisfied that he knew what he was talking about regarding the Z4.

I travelled about 250 miles to buy the car and was very happy with the car.

Hi there,
I'd be really interested in purchasing the indoor cover if it's a genuine BMW one, and you're interested in selling separately?

Thanks Neil but I’ll be keeping the cover with the car.

Cheers

Thanks for the kind words. I’ve just cut and pasted this ad on eBay but at £7250.

Really is lovely and a great colour combination. Nice that the wheels have spacers and are immaculate too.
I’m sure at £7k, it wont hang around too long. Im surprised this hasnt gone on here actually.

Thanks - already had a few positive enquiries from eBay listing

This is so tempting but I’m having a bit of a time of it at work at the moment - if only they’d pull their finger out and say whether I’m in or out!! :-(

Update : SOLD.

Put in on eBay at 6pm on Wednesday -

Sold within 24 hours. For FULL asking price of £7250. (for that I also added all my spare parts, after the deal was completed.)

I stood back (socially distanced) and let the new owner and his father, who both appeared to be very knowledgeable with BMW cars as they had owned numerous models) to thoroughly check the car over, scan the car using a Foxwell scanner - they couldn’t find any fault with the car, exactly as described in my advert both on here and eBay.

Test drive was completed too.

The more they looked and commented on how straight /genuine it was - the more I wanted to cancel the sale! But I stayed sensible and off it goes.

New owner took it away today as I had to wait for a replacement V5 after removing the private plate.

New owner is a great guy and says he will sign up on here so that’s good. He’s already got a road trip planned!

With the amount of interest from eBay , I think I’d have got my original ask of £7500!!

I was surprised it didn’t sell on here but I think with the many older 3.0 roadsters going for sub £4K - it made mine seem expensive.

Sad to see it go, but with that being said, happy with the deal I got.

Hope I don’t regret selling it.....
