2006 Sapphire Black E86 Manual - 141k Miles - PRICE DROP £6,750 - Bilstein B12, Custom exhaust, Powerflex

Think about it another way that you dont feel like its an issue putting miles on and use it for everything rather than special occasions.

I like the idea of a garage queen because of my OCD but it's such a waste having amazing assets and being scared to use them for the next person to enjoy. Its the experiences you make, there's no memories made sitting in a garage looking at it.

So long as it's had regular oil changes and benefited from preventative maintenance the mileage wouldn't bother me in the slightest. 140k is nothing if it's been well looked after, which this one seems to be.

Different world but down under cars regularly sell with double, triple, quadruple this mileage.

Owen

I wouldn't be put off by the mileage either. I had a 139K mile N52 and currently have a 120K miler in 3 Series' and they perform just fine.

GLWTS OP.

I think sometimes we do really over think things about mileage and forget logic. More importantly we should just enjoy these cars for as long as we can, who knows what way the values will go in the long run but if you use them and enjoy them does it really matter?!!

To be brutally honest and many many owners of classic or special cherish cars need to understand the days of diesel and petrol cars are sadly numbered, I think the green agenda has become so psychotic and hysterical that I'll be very surprised if by 2030 your be able to drive something that's apparently going to kill the planet and all life on earth and if it is still possible it will be with massive financial costs and road restrictions. Where we like it or not this is coming down the pipe much sooner than later....so.....get out there and enjoy the swansong of what motoring used to be as its going the way of the dodo............Greta :fuelfire:

SOLD. I'm hoping the new owner joins the forum, I know he's been lurking!
He will probably need to with that mileage! :poke:

Only joking; well done with the sale!

Hello all! yep, I have been lurking (admittedly not as a member), and yes I have bought this E86.

Well I say I have, it's actually now my fiancées, but what's hers is mine

I'll do a newbie post in the relevant place in due course, but thanks @LemonConnoisseur for the easy purchase!

Congrats on the purchase! I drove it yesterday too but just couldn't find the extra cash to match your offer. Was good to meet you Sam - car drove great and has now set the benchmark for my search very high!

Blast, I've been lurking for a little while too and was just waiting for my insurer to come back with a quote to go view this and potentially add it to my (small) collection! I was beaten to the punch - very jealous, looked like a great and well kept motor.

The bar in my search is also now set very high - I hope you have fun with it dragonball_sze!

Congrats on acquiring my old car, I know Sam did a lot of work to it in his ownership to bring some things up to standard.

I'm sure you will have many more smiling miles out of it. :driving:
