When I bought mine a couple of weeks ago with 90k on it, the car was up for 7k but the insurance value was £4k which is a risk I will have to take as that is what I would get back in case of an accident.

You get what you pay for with insurance. Most people only care about getting the lowest possible premium and which is then often reflected in the claims experience.tomscott said:Insurance is great until you need it then they rinse you.

Agreed, think it's a common thing in the UK. I always tend to buy on condition rather than mileage, but I think I'm in the minority there.
Both fair points about the insurance, I guess an agreed valuation is the only way to protect against that.

I presume you've included a link in your listing to the build thread on here?
Mileage aside, it's clearly a looked after car, although I suppose folks will try to use that as a stick to beat you with regardless in the name of getting the lowest price they can.

Sadly I’m not a buyer, but if you have a 10-speaker system (DSP or not) it would be worth mentioning as this is a discriminator for some.
GLWTS.

I agree, mileage is something that us Brits seem to have a real issue with. The thing is, low mileage cars seem to be more desirable, but funnily enough time also wears rubber out. It's all well and good buying a 60k "beauty", but if the thing has been sat around for long periods of time, then the rubber suspension components still disintegrate, hence why I'd personally rather buy a car that has documented history of things being changed as opposed to just being low mileage.Z450 said:Certainly looks like a real honest example that in reality provides a really good mechanical but, I think sadly the mileage scares buyers which is silly really
Agreed, it's a small pool, and even smaller with it being a lightly modified example.deltasierra said:The Z4 coupe is a niche car it doesn’t tick the box for those that want a convertible for summer, so a smaller buyer pool, it’s an honest description, body blemishes and miles are against it, as we are all finding any kind of minor damage is seeing cars written off by insurers and only trade price being paid out.
