2006 E85 with navigation, any suggestions to get stereo into “AUX” mode?

Installed a Bluetooth adapter, Jie Rui BT-5908. I cannot get my stereo into aux, only Radio and CD. The adapter has power as I see it on my phone’s Bluetooth menu.

Thank You

It needs signal as well. Did you move the pins to the harness that actually connects in the back of the radio?

That's the same one I fitted in mine. Worked straight out of the box. Didn't have an Aux option, plugged it in and Aux appeared, no pin faff needed.
However, mine is the bog standard head unit so maybe that is different.

When you say standard, you mean no navigation?

That's right, no nav, 6-speaker stereo

PVR, thank you for the advice, I checked the adapter and while it was connected with the lock mechanism, the AUX plug was not pushed all the way in. This was a quick fix and the AUX is up and running!

Thank You

Got to love a free fix.

Just a word of warning OP.
I found the output from the Bluetooth was much quieter than the radio. Not a huge issue, just turn up the volume.
But if you forget and select radio when you next get in the car you'll get a hell of a fright!

Bluetooth adapter, Jie Rui BT-5908, Amazon, took a few days to get but was worth it

I am fine with the sound quality, music plays through my phone no problem, telephone calls are not as good as factory Bluetooth, but with the top down I am really not looking to have a conversation anyway. The unit connects within seconds of starting the car, have had no issues.

IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOU FULLY PRESS ALL OF THE INPUT PLUGS ON THE ADAPTER INTO THE BACK OF THE FACTORY UNIT, JUST LOCKING THE CLIP IS NOT SUFFICIENT AS IT DOESN'T LOCK IN THE ADAPTER PORTION

Hope this helps

There are a few YouTube videos on removing and reinstalling the AC vents and stereo, add painters tape around the edges of the dash trim to avoid damaging it when removing the unit.

If you need to remove and reinstall your vehicle’s AC vents and stereo, YouTube Vanced has some helpful videos. A common tip is to use painter’s tape around the dash trim edges to avoid scratches and damage during the process.
