2005 Z4 3.0 Motorway mpg

I just done a long ish run to South wales A40 M5 M4 and i was driving around 80 most of the way i also drove in to Cardiff and some b roads averaged 33.8 in my 03 3.0. Thats not as good as what some people are suggesting is possible. But come on normal driving + 3.0 engine fantastic performance. And still getting 33.8 mpg How can you ever want more?????

I leave for work at 5:30am and drive 30 miles over 70% motorway 30% a-roads, very little traffic that time of the morning and maybe 2/3 red lights.

A smidge under 33MPG, i travel 332 miles and just put in 46 litres , the OBC says 37ish i think.

As everyone has said, this is the best car to do high miles in fuel wise compared to other similar cars (unless you want to shell out for a new SLK250CDI)

2.5i over here, heavy town driving only. My style of driving is to floor it in 1st and 2nd gear to get quickly up to speed and then just cruise in 4th or 5th. 20mpg overall

55,000 mainly motorway miles in a 3.0i Coupe, I average 31mpg @ 85mph. Get about 34mpg doing 80mph. Using super unleaded & the odd shot of Redex. Flippin amazin - my Alfa GTV V6 3.0i does about 26mpg on m'way at 80-ish ..... but sounds miles better, glorious 8) !!
