2003 BMW Z4 2.5i SE. Sterling grey, manual, 82k miles, 10 months MOT, very nice condition, good service history, some useful and subtle enhancements and a number of desirable options/extras.

I bought this car with every intention of keeping it long term however things have changed and I need to make some space, tighten the purse strings and recoup a bit of cash.

This car is in very good condition. The paintwork gleams and is in excellent order bar a few minor marks. The front bumper has had a very recent respray.

The interior is the standard black leather seats, manual adjustment but heated and in good condition as is the rest of the interior.
The hood is in very good condition and works perfectly. The motor, which is a replacement item (very expensive) fitted by a previous owner and in pristine condition, has been moved out of harms way and into the boot. The car has been coded so that the roof opens and closes on the key.

The engine is a peach. It is smooth with no odd noises or rattles and doesn’t use a drop of oil.

Externally the look of the car is enhanced with a set of BMW OE Style 189 18 inch alloy wheels in very good condition with new centre caps and well regarded Uniroyal Rainsport tyres all round. The rears RS5s have only very recently been fitted.

The car has been fitted with a pair of facelift headlights, clear side repeaters and a lovely pair of clear indicator/fog rear lights to remove the dated orange look. The kidney grills are the all black type.

The exhaust system has a modified standard back-box (Ducklakeview/DLV), which sounds glorious. These straight six engines sound smooth and throaty in standard guise, this subtle modification makes the soundtrack truly addictive - deep growl at low revs, fantastic higher up with pops and crackles on the overrun and no drone.

Other options/improvements are:
Cup holders x2
6 disc CD changer
OE wind deflector and boot clips
Sport springs for a slightly firmer and lower ride
Stubby aerial
ZHP weighted gear knob
Royals refurbished multi-function steering wheel, with a thicker leather clad rim and M stitching
Space saver spare wheel
Innoparts strut-brace
Grooved vented discs
LED interior and number plate lights

Work carried over recent years includes:
Repaired GM5 module
i6 Automotive DISA valve upgrade
Refurbished VANOS (Jan 17)
Replacement brake pipes (MOT advisory) – front to back and rear side to side in cunifer
Gearbox and diff oil changes
Lollypop bushes
Very recent oil service
Replaced expansion tank, coolant sensor and coolant flush

The car is MOT’d till September 2021 with no advisories.

This is a second/third car, bought for weekend use only and apart from being caught out a couple of times, has in my ownership only been driven on dry unsalted roads. When it is not in use it is garaged and if unlikely to be driven for a week or more has been connected up to a battery charger/conditioner.

The V5 suggests this car has had 7 previous owners, but don’t be put off by this as it has clearly been very well cared for by all.

There are cheaper Zeds out there and more expensive ones, but this well specced car in great condition is surely worth a look at £3,450. SOLD

Location - Taunton, Somerset.

Very nice early Z4 at a sensible ask, if I were you I’d be putting a classified add on EBay, for a higher price but enabling the ‘Best Offer’ feature. Costs about £20

You will, 100%, get some muppets via eBay, but I have found this to be a very successful method for selling cars in recent years.... good luck

Thanks for your comments TB. I may post it up on EBay eventually, but for now it will be advertised here only for the consideration of the more discerning Z4 enthusiasts. I'm in no rush and if it's not found a buyer by the spring then I will cast the net a little more widely.

Really nice looking roadster with some great facelift upgrades and a cracking mot history. GLWTS

This is a real peach. I’m looking for a coupe, otherwise I’d be all over this. I’m sure this will find a new home very soon. Good luck.

Hi Rich. Yes, things have changed and needs must, although I look at the pics and wonder if perhaps I should hold on to it.

You’ve had a few replies on here asking for info/showing interest, has nothing come from those?

I only looked because I’d spotted another on Facebook and wondered if it was also on here.

A couple of first time posters who then seem to never log in again. Not sure what that’s all about. In no rush anyway. Probably better left till the spring and certainly after lockdown.
