Regretting it yet? :poke:

At least if it's on the forum you can feel it'll be well looked after.

Of course. Always difficult watching your P&J drive off down the road. It certainly will be well looked after.

Thank god it’s gone, taken away temptation 😩

Saved you some cash. Of course if it's reignited the Zed itch the saving will only be temporary!

I am not surprised that went relatively quickly. Well done

Thanks. Yes, it is a good one and I'm sure the new owner will very much enjoy it.

Well, i am the new owner and i still had to look out the window this morning to make sure it wasnt all a dream!

Many thanks to Pete for putting up with my borderline OCD as regards questions and photos. My heart was set on a 3.0l but the head decision took over and won the day, plus this was in such good nick, it really was silly not to. Depending on how life/job goes over the 6 months, this may well be up for sale next summer to be replaced with a 3.0si but for now, its well and truly scratching the itch. So much so, that last night going round a bend chasing a porsche at 80mph and seeing the traction control light coming on was definitely one of those 'moments' aahh happy days! :D

But the stereo is definitely first on the to do list. Theres no way thats staying stock.. :x

I’d put a stereo in before I sold it and that’s one of the things he bloody replaced along with the 19” black alloys that were fitted 😩😂

Still here Rich! :D Well we all like to change things to suit our own tastes. I much preferred the stock stereo look on the dash and the sound of the engine and exhaust was always better to my ears than anything the stereo could churn out. As for wheels, it had to be silver 18s for me, but I know a certain other forum member is very much enjoying those 19s! No doubt Graham will make his own changes to the car now he has it and I wish him many happy miles in it.

Hah! everything is subjective, thats for sure and looking at the t'internet, the replacement stereos do look somehow wrong without losing the vents. The stock item certainly sits in the dash a lot better and the display colour matches everything else etc but......it sounds terrible and i had to suffer Radio 2 for part of the journey (my choices seemed adverts, kiss fm or classic pah :x )

My other hobby is hifi so this gives me something to get my teeth into. For now im thinking speaker upgrade with separate amp for the rear subs. The mirror tweeters most definitely need to be junked. I'll search the forum later to see what other owners have done and work out a shopping list.

Before Digidick and ErrErminator MM03VXX was mine, had I not suffered a crippling bike accident it still would be ! Welcome to the Forum and enjoy the car.As for changing it for a 3.0 I'd say that the performance difference is negligible as I have a 3l Z4 E85 albeit an auto. Driven enthusiastically in the right hands there'd be nothing in it tbh. :driving:

Cheers and nice looking bike btw! I should have added im truly sorry about the bike accident. The older i get, the more im aware that im no longer invincible. My bike riding has definitely slowed down these days.

But, for the few weeks i had the car on the road, i really did enjoy it. Apart from a couple of moments and a near miss with a tractor i was thoroughly enjoying the drive. Currently its undergoing a full suspension and bush upgrade with a bit of tidying up underneath, followed by a 4-wheel alignment. The front shocks are definitely knackered but after 17years, thats to be expected.

It was the Duke which I had the accident on and ironically I was only doing 45mph. As You admit a few close shaves with the 2.5 engine, enough power to get you out of trouble, and enough to get you into trouble :D
There's a T140 Bonneville in the garage under cover and a Honda XBR500 too, sadly I've had bikes all my days and now find myself having to change direction as I can't ride anymore. But I've still got my Zed to get some kicks in, it's not a bike I know.
I'm surprised that it's still got the original shocks on it, that was on my to-do list back in 2017 17 years is pretty amazing on the originals. I'm sure you'll notice a huge improvement and the stock ones aren't hugely expensive.
Happy driving
