It was a genuine pleasure Craig - very easy to drive off, and meant I could concentrate on enjoying it. I also loved being followed by a red M :D

I am glad you enjoyed the view, it was good being there following you two!

Yes, Dave/xsz, nice to know you have a well desired colour of z4 m....I think it and the Interlagos blue were highest in the "favourite m colour chart thread"?? , and Bing wants an Imola red one as his next car, in case you missed that one, lol.

Yes Allan, fast and fun(but safe)...taking good speed thru most of the bends...hitting ***mph at times, and I think a few ppl got some "air" :) . just glad the rain didn't ever last too long and we had the roofs down quite a few times :D :driving:

Looks like you all had fun

Good to see you all shortly at the start, I'll get my finger out and sort a meet out before the hooning season comes to an end :D

Yes, good to see you and Kirsty albeit briefly, pity you couldn't join us for at least some of the drive. Here's to future meets :driving:

We both had a great day and thought it was an all round good team effort, a strong turnout, with great routes from ZermattV and Paul & Steph -some excellent roads including many we had never driven e.g. around Kielder, Rothbury etc. and a good mix of lead driving (apologies for my little detour - I was kinda leading on completely new roads to me at that point so in the usual fashion will blame my navigator - NO not Mrs Jax but Mr Tom Tom)

Certainly the B road blast back from St.Abbs was sublime- even if it was a bit of a fluke as none of us had reccied this part - just sorry for those who didn't get to do this final stretch of the return leg - it was an excellent end to a fine day and glad the sun shone for late afternoon ice creams.

Here's some pics from us (well mainly Mrs Jax):

Brilliant photos Mrs. Jax!

Really enjoyed looking through these - now I understand the JaxZ4 - doh!

Had a wonderful day - Steph and I will have to come up and try that last section of the route it gets so many positive reviews - seems we missed a treat.

Terrific photos that really do capture the day!

Paul and Steph :driving:

Some fantastic shots there gents, sounds a fantastic meet & no scares. What more could anyone ask (other than learning whether I have finally landed the new job)

Great photos guys. Looks like you had a great day out. Hope I can make the next one.

Hi Paul and Steph

Said to Jax that I felt guilty about saying to you both that there was probably little point doing the last bit up to Edinburgh - honestly didn't expect it to be half the route it turned out to be. Worth including in your way up to future Z4 Scotland meets

Not to worry ZermattV

Steph and I like a 'mission' - we'll get up there to sample the route after all the comments.

It was really the time element that beat us - we hadn't arranged for our dogs to be cared for quite so late and so needed to head back to Newcastle - that was the deciding factor - unfortunately!

Thanks for the concern.

Paul :driving:

Back home, 1,280 miles later... return trip took aaaaaaages :(

Photos later or tomorrow morning, not even had a chance to look through them yet. Should be some good in-flight ones though

Indeed, but well worth it

WB took 175 pictures during the run - I've got the number down to 44 good ones plus a few of mine, so I'll put the best few on here but stick all of them on Photobucket with a link to the album. It'll be tomorrow earliest before I can do it though :(

Decided to pull the finger out and get this done :-D

All of these are in-motion as the static ones I have are the same as those above. All taken, as ever, by my on-board Hoon Photographer & Co-Pilot Wee Bing.

Started off a wee bit wet... Respect to ZermattV though, as I am pretty sure he only put his hood up when we parked !

Light Speed !!!

3 ///Ms in front – aural heaven

Returning to God’s Country :

Blurred, but what a great road :

View of the Lomond hills across the Forth :

Game. On.

Again, a brilliant run out & huge thanks to all those who organised the route and led on the day – started at 8am to get to the meet point, home by 7.15pm 300 miles later. The Duns road = cream on an already spanking cake

Smashing photos by WB

We really did cover some ground over some varied road types -glad you guys enjoyed yourselves you'd come along way
