18th Aug- Z4 Scots Borders/Northumberland (Kielder) Meet

Would be good to finally meet you Bing - route will be less dramatic than the Braemar Bougie but we should have a nice day out - I won't be on here much next two weeks but I see Jax will sort you out with a rough route

Jax already sent me the draft route, looks excellent with some nice wee stops

Not definite at all yet, but it will be great to meet you all too if we make it 8)

Hi Jax

Steph and I have been checking out some of the route possibilities - counted some out because of the road surfaces. We are heading up tomorrow to check out further possible lunch stops as well.

Get back to you to discuss and confirm.

Anymore North East members coming to join us?

Steph and I are meeting up with the group at Hawick then leaving at St Abbs to head back to Newcastle.

:driving:

I'll probably need to leave early-ish/after lunch as my parents are arriving later in the day but yeah, up for this :).

Parents situation resolved, they'll be down the day before and my dad's coming along on the Sunday so count us in and keep me posted with the route/meet point please :).

Good stuff andrewp - more details to follow soon !

Hi Toe-side

Looking forward to the day - hope more North Easterners join in!

Aren't we lucky having some of the best roads in the UK - AND - relatively quiet!

Paul and Steph :driving:

Just a wee warning guys a friend was at Kielder last week ( don't know which part ) but there was extremely large swarms of midges about

Thanks metalicker - and I thought we kept most of the midges north of the border - please do take more of them - in fact have all of the little blighters !

Are you maybe going to make this run at all - be good to see you again ? :driving:

Madrid that weekend for a friends 50th birthday 8)

Oh well -sounds good - fine weather, cheep recession ridden beer and no midges - enjoy - always fancied Madrid but not made it there yet.

So the 10-day forecast says 20% chance of rain, scattered cloud and 18 degrees C at Hawick on the Sunday. We might just be okay 8)

Hi Ally - whereabouts are you ? Having fun with an MTB no doubt !

As per my PM, me and Wee Bing are 99% coming now. Certain conditions have still not been met, but progress is being made and I have reached the 'fcuk it' point in my thinking

Will confirm tomorrow

Still a 50/50 chance I'll be able to make this run.

I've got family round on the Monday, for the Fringe festival, and we still have the spare bedroom full of boxes that need cleared.

Will update you on Saturday.

If I do make it, I'll not have time to review to route, so hope you lads know where you're going, I'll just tag along
