Some here might remember I was planning a trip to the East Coast of Canada this summer.
Well the Zed was faultless throughout and a pleasure to drive.
On our way back to Toronto, I found myself in Hartland New Brunswick - Home of the longest covered bridge in the world ! I know cause I drove it 3 times.
So after lunch, I pressed the "Home" button on the GPS and a Canadian Route popped up - 1189 kms - 12 hours..
And seeing as our holiday had already generated a wedding, a funeral, a rumble (at the reception). It seemed only natural test the wisdom of the GPS.
Actually the route through northern New Brunswick and Quebec (south of the St Laurence River) is mostly super slab that meanders through moderately sized mountains and farms.
So off we set with the cruise control set at 120 and the road mostly to ourselves. With several rest stops for relief and gas ..Well we did it in 13 1/2 hours.
Mind you we returned 2 days ago and Im still recovering, but it made me think ..
What's the furthest anyone here has done in one day ?
