See you next year,if not before

A Big Thanks to all of you who turned up and made the weekend what it was
It wouldn't be the same without you.
LIKEWISE,A HUGE THANKS TO JOHN (Sammy z), for All your Help in continuing to Organise this with me, it wouldn't be the same without you mate,so cheers for everything

We had a great weekend, weather even played along, and traffic wasn't too bad ,had some great driving,Sunday especially, bar the odd bike or car,it was very enjoyable.

A special Thanks to Brian (Grumpybri),for securing about 8 out of 25 of the Donated Raffle prizes, especially the biggies this year, like Satnavs/Dashcams,etc.It helped me out greatly,as I find it harder each time I do a Raffle, getting companies/people to donate, so thanks again for helping me this time
Very much appreciated mate.

FOR THOSE WHO WERE NOT AROUND ON THE SUNDAY EVENING WHEN I SAID THIS,(APOLOGIES ON MY BEHALF,BUT I HAD MEANT TO TELL EVERYONE ON THE SUNDAY MORNING,BUT WAS A BIT TIRED DUE TO BEING WOKE UP 3 HOURS TOO EARLY,AND IT SLIPPED MY MIND).....

WE RAISED A GRAND TOTAL OF £434 FOR CHARITY,WHICH (AS VOTED ON THE DAY), IS GOING TO GO TO AGE UK.

SO A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO BOUGHT TICKETS AND DONATED GENEROUSLY TO IT.
Once I get a spare minute,I will arrange to forward this on the AgeUK and when I get an email back(as other Cancer charities, etc have in the past), I can send anyone who wants a copy of any email confirmation, etc I get :D

ALSO ,A Big THANK YOU TO LAINE AND NICOLA ,FOR BRINGING A GAS BBQ,AND LITERALLY PULLING MY BACKSIDE OUT THE (FIRE)...BBQ...AS THE OTHER TWO,OLD FAITHFULL STONE ONES WERE A LONG TIME GETTING GOING!!
AND THANKS FOR THE BMW CHOCOLATE CAKE
Was great to see you both, and be sure and join us on the drives next year :poke: :driving:

Shane that some t**t had to go and spoi our Saturday night sleep for everyone,by Smoking in a NON SMOKING HOTEL,WITH SMOKE AND FIRE ALARM SYSTEM IN PLACE,hence all the signs!!
Inconsiderate person meant we were all tired,me especially,as I was last to bed :headbang:
That was me

I just wanted to be there is spirit, so I drove up in the dead of night and left a steaming pile next to a smoke detector :fuelfire:

Haha,no laughing matter when you have been up late drinking, then going through stuff, being woken 3 hours early all because some fud had to smoke at 5a.m in their room/ the corridor!!

Surprising radio silence from my colleagues...

First day the weather was great...a bit of congested traffic ...

Ferry across Windermere was a nice part...

‘Don’t pay the ferryman’....as Chris de Burgh would say..’until you get across to the other side’

Good to see you both,Peter .
Hope you make good use of those wash buckets and grit gaurds ,and not use them for the horses, lol.
Enjoy your Holidays

Sure did craig, btbh the place was empty sun night after the zedderz left so they had empty beds to fill.
Otherwise they dont tend to budge on price.
Allways better negotiating face to face
Oh another bonus the brekki was better that the previous morn , we got a full mushroom ,and beans and 2 eggs ,happy days

Great prize..thnx Craig..those buckets are mine forever!!!

Thnx for orgainsing the runs and to Sammyz as well..much appreciated..

As some of you know who attended, the arrival of my 2nd Grandson was imminent and being a selfish southerner I was hoping the wee man would hang on until after the weekend. :D
Was awoken in the tent at 6.50am on Monday morning by a phonecall from my wife to say that Kylies waters had broke. After a swift trip to the hospital she was sent home again but at midnight she returned and baby Harry was born at 8.02am this morning. :D :roundel:
I owe the little fella a big drink when he's older for letting Grandad have his annual weekend of fun before coming into the world. :D
IMG-20190709-WA0000.jpg

Anyway the Weekend.

Craig/Sammyz(John) - Thanks again for organising yet another cracking weekend and for letting me along in a non Zed. Had a fantastic time as always especially the spirited run on Sunday. Really enjoyed the slower scenic run on Saturday as well as it's not often we get to see a lake and I think it was a good intro for some of the newer members.
I think having the two (not three :D ) groups on the Sunday was also a great idea allowing everyone to have an enjoyable drive at their own pace.

Craig/Grumpybri - Sterling work on the Raffle prizes guys. Was really great that all the drivers got a prize and a fantastic sum raised for Charity.

Laine/Nicola - Thanks for feeding us all on Saturday night. Everyone got well fed and as Craig mentioned, the Gas BBQ was a lifesaver. Hoping you have a car for next year and get to enjoy the rides.

Everyone - Great to meet up with friends old and new. Hope everyone enjoyed as much as I did and would be good if we have some returning attendees next year.

So thanks again everyone. Will post a few pics up later in the week when Grandads schedule is not so hectic. :D
