10th Anniversary National meet, FRIDAY 5TH,SATURDAY 6TH ,SUNDAY 7TH JULY,2019. UPDATE,17TH JUNE,,2019..

thanks to craig, john, pete and brian for all your efforts, and to everyone else i met for making it an awesome trip.
will definately be back next year :D
great scenery on both days, and gave me a chance to get used to driving the z on proper roads.
clocked up 945 miles in total, and roof down constantly every day, including trip home.
got back at 11.00pm , which was pretty much as i had hoped.

Also a big thanks to Craig for all the arranging and John for the routes this weekend. The weather certainly played ball and made for some great driving, especially trying to keep up with Craig's group on the Sunday.

With the risk of repeating many of the pictures already posted, i will get some pics up shortly.

As some of you know who attended, the arrival of my 2nd Grandson was imminent and being a selfish southerner I was hoping the wee man would hang on until after the weekend. :D
Was awoken in the tent at 6.50am on Monday morning by a phonecall from my wife to say that Kylies waters had broke. After a swift trip to the hospital she was sent home again but at midnight she returned and baby Harry was born at 8.02am this morning. :D :roundel:
I owe the little fella a big drink when he's older for letting Grandad have his annual weekend of fun before coming into the world. :D

Anyway the Weekend.

Craig/Sammyz(John) - Thanks again for organising yet another cracking weekend and for letting me along in a non Zed. Had a fantastic time as always especially the spirited run on Sunday. Really enjoyed the slower scenic run on Saturday as well as it's not often we get to see a lake and I think it was a good intro for some of the newer members.
I think having the two (not three :D ) groups on the Sunday was also a great idea allowing everyone to have an enjoyable drive at their own pace.

Craig/Grumpybri - Sterling work on the Raffle prizes guys. Was really great that all the drivers got a prize and a fantastic sum raised for Charity.

Laine/Nicola - Thanks for feeding us all on Saturday night. Everyone got well fed and as Craig mentioned, the Gas BBQ was a lifesaver. Hoping you have a car for next year and get to enjoy the rides.

Everyone - Great to meet up with friends old and new. Hope everyone enjoyed as much as I did and would be good if we have some returning attendees next year.

So thanks again everyone. Will post a few pics up later in the week when Grandads schedule is not so hectic. :D
Beautiful photo grandad x2

Good to meet you as well mate- and you kept up with my 2.2 just fine! :poke:

Big thanks to Craig for putting this weekend together. I know how much work goes into sorting hotel rooms, camping sites, negotiating discounts, etc etc then the effort involved in chasing raffle prizes.
People like you are the lifeblood of car forums, a big thanks for all your work, I know all those who attend your meets appreciate your efforts. Look forward to next year now :D

Cheers mate, and as I said,it wouldn't be the same without your help in organising it,and keeping me right from time to time on the routes :driving:
Look forward to catching up again soon,as the weekend flew by and feels like I hardly got to chat to you and Pauline.
Hope she can make use of her Raffle prize,as in the boots Voucher and LIPSENSE Voucher.
If she contacts Nicki/NICTRIX on the info enclosed in the Prize, she should be all good on that front.
I am sure the Prosecco and the Cash won't last long, lol

Nicola and I had a great time meeting old friends and making new ones.

I'd like to add my thanks to Craig for all his hard work in making this a great event not just for this year but the last 10 years. A great total raised this year for charity thanks to Craig and Brian. Although I didn't get to participate in the drives this year I'm sure John did his usual sterling job of finding some great routes for you all.

Feeling a little down about missing the drives this year I took the bike out on Monday and hit the roads up to Alston :).

Congratulations Jim, you'll have another 2 before you know it.

Fantastic news Jim. :) Named after Harry Kane then?

Indeed it is..........Went to visit mother and baby in hospital yesterday and whilst leaving I did suggest "Kane" as a middle name. Don't think it's helped with her post pregnancy blues but it's got my son-in-law thinking.

Cheers Pal.
