Hi guys
Has anybody seen similar?
I have searched but found only a suggestion about either needing the car to be warm or the vents cycled to reset the controller. The vehicle manual does not mention anything that helped me.
There are no flagged errors relating to the system when diagnostics are run with ISTA D. I believe the flaps are driven and varied electrically rather than with vacuum actuators.
With ignition or engine on, if I manually select screen vent and turn up the blower, the screen vents sound closed as the fan strains against the blockage. One click either side of screen only (knob straight up) and the corresponding face or footwell flap starts to open.
When I press the windscreen demist button in the knob centre, the screen vents release and air whizzes out - so the vents and actuator are physically ok.
Issue seems the same roof up or down, car or ambient temperature hot or cold.
Recent cabin filter and no signs of blockage or debris. Car is kept garaged.
I can only assume the switch or control module are misbehaving in the screen only position unless I miss something obvious? Everything else works fine.
Any ideas appreciated rather than changing parts out randomly - I am stumped!
