03-08 BMW Z4 HALO PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS FOR HID BLACK 04

Argh think need to see them on standard Z4 !

First impression is they look ok. How do u feel about losing the self levelling function ?

These are replacements for halogen not Xenon so they have no self levelling system.

The halogens (and Xenon) go through a reset cycle on start up to ensure they are back the the set position, so losing it is no problem.

On xenon the self levelling is critical to avoid dazzle and is controlled by sensors on front and rear suspension and the internal step motors. - loss would be critical.

Hope this helps

If anyone has more pics please post! I am on the fence between these and getting Eric at Tekarbon do a set for me. Also any one know how these install: ie the wiring? thanks

Would your car have to have xenons with washer jets fitted to put these in? Or will they just replace a standard headlight unit?

I've installed these lights last weekend, don't have time to take pictures yet. I am very happy with these headlights, it made the car look so much better. I still have to make some adjustment on the gaps between the headlights and the bumper. May be this weekend.

These lights came with three lights (2 AE, 1 small light) that are not wired to the big connector yet. I've soldered all three red wires to the white wire of daylight running light and the three black to the black of the DRL. There was an extra small connector that I did not plug into the new headlight, the new headlights only have one big connector.

I remember seeing these on eBay a while back and just dismissed them as Chinese junk. Perhaps I was wrong. I'm still not sure though - there black ones feel like they're missing something so perhaps the silver would be better. Ultimately I'd need to see them installed before I would buy them. Not a bad price for $500 landed though (eBay)...

I've just had a set fitted and have to say they look pretty good.

The guys who fitted them for me said they were a bit of a pain to sort the correct spacing. I will post pics once I've sorted this :)

I like them, a lot less fuss all round than finding and modifying existing lights. They don't look too after market either, I suspect many wouldn't even notice. If I hadn't already sorted mine, I'd be tempted by these.

Haven't read back through this, but not sure when the halos come on, but you can have the lights set to come on as DRLs. It's in the manual as a config option, you'd need to get a dealer / indi to set it.
