From RenaultSport to BMW.

HI Guys/Girls,

Just a post to introduce myself and my car.

I traded up a RenaultSport Megane R26 (my third RS) - increasingly fed up of the niggles / noises and general poor build quality :

For this 2007 Z4 3.0si with 21k and a manual box :

Has a few extras including : Comfort pack, Aluminum style pack, Xenons, Electric and heated seats.

One thing I want to ask - It has a BMW 'Business CD' head unit with an aux input - do I just need a BMW interface lead off the likes of ebay in order to connect an IPOD to this?

Yeah i've discovered the aux input - what I mean is will a cable like this be suitable? As it only lists for the E89 Z4 and iDrive system :

Yeah I love it! The only other colour i'd of preferred would be red.

Ps I also love the seats. I used to have bi colour seats on my old roadster, very rare and totally awesome

Cheers guys. Cleaned and conditioned the leather today, and it's now wearing a layer of RaceGlaze '55' wax

Got a 3.5mm cable today and am using my phone as my MP3 player - result!

One thing - wheel bolts are rusty - anyone on here use wheel bolt covers to smarten them up at all?

I know some people paint them but I don't know what paint would stay on! Don't know if covers would look right. Mine are the same though so will try paint at some point.

Really need to fit an aux port to mine too!

Welcome! I was somewhat forced into my move with my R26 being the unhappy recipient of an AMG Mercedes estate in the rear....

Welcome to the forum, lovely motor and even lovelier interior! But then again I am a little biased because you have exactly the same interior as me! Anthracite/silverstone. Awesome combo!
